This is the best brisket we ever ate! Mouth watering and juicy! We got the brisket platter and we are so glad our b&b host told us to go there on our way to the Wolf Howl at the Haliburton Wolf Sanctuary. We even asked to speak to the Chef and they sent Kenny out to speak with us and saw his love & passion for what he does. You won’t be disappointed only glad you went. We ate the “Boss Balls” appetizer and that was fantastic, loved the micro greens added on top! My spicy peach margarita was amazing! Everything exceeded our expectations! We will come back one day it’s worth the 4 hour drive from where we live.

We ordered a catered selection for a family event. It included brisket, pulled pork, corn, mashed potatoes, carrots, Caesar salad and Apple crumble. Mike and his team came through on time with amazingly delicious food. And a lot of it. We’ll be ordering again in the near future.

Amazing quality of food. Nice southern atmosphere and yes they actually have a pool table and country music. I'm seeing some bogus low reviews here... this place is a pure hidden gem. Beef brisket and smoked home made potatoe salad was well worth the drive and the price. GOOD JOB! Will be coming back!

A great local spot for some amazing food - Mac and cheese is OUTSTANDING, poutine is unbelievably good - new menu is out and can’t wait to try it! Service is top notch, everyone is super friendly and the live music is great. Gift shop has really cool swag and tons of food options for takeaway. Highly recommend.

The restaurant was extremely clean and well maintained. Walked in with the staff being very welcoming then explained the menu because it was the first time there.
Food was fast and delicious with no complaints.

Had high hopes but left disappointed. Got the meat platter. The ribs and pulled pork were super tender and amazing. Sides were also great. But the sausage and brisket were honestly terrible. The brisket was the toughest and driest I’ve ever had. The texture was more like a jerky than a soft smoked brisket. For $98 after tax and tip, I expect a lot better.

We came on. Sunday evening and it was taco and margarita evening. I find the staff very friendly and engaging. The two types of tacos we ordered were great. One was beef and the other pork. Excellent chutneys on both. Margaritas were tasty. Super chill atmosphere and a great place to walk in with my work boots on.

Mike from Boshkung Smokehouse absolutely elevated our bachelor party weekend in Muskoka with an unreal private chef experience. Everything was made completely from scratch, and you could taste the freshness in every bite.

The menu was next level. It consisted of a hand-crafted caesar salad, a perfectly cooked 20 oz reverse-seared ribeye, brussels sprouts with house-cured bacon, and creamy mashed potatoes finished with a rich red wine reduction. He capped it all off with a homemade whiskey peach cobbler that was honestly one of the best desserts I’ve ever had.

Beyond the food, Mike brought a great energy to the weekend and made the whole experience feel effortless and high-end. If you’re thinking about doing something special for a group event, I can’t recommend him enough. Whether you check out Boshkung Smokehouse or book Mike for a private dining experience, you won’t be disappointed.
