Beertown Public House East Gwillimbury

This was our first time at the Newmarket location and first time at the restaurant. The food did not disappoint! We had the calamari, spinach dip, tomato basil soup, Caesar salad, a Caesar, sparkling water and tea. It was all delicious and the portions are a good size. Our bill was only $90.

The service was really good! The servers were quick and attentive and friendly! Thank you BROOK S you were great!

We have already recommended it to a few people! And we look forward to coming back. Hopefully for brunch next time!

I went to Beertown for the first time and was surprised to see how many vegan options were available. They have a specific vegan menu, which has burgers, chicken burgers, salads and bowls, along with a kids menu! I ordered a plant based burger with a side of truffle fries, both of which were delicious! One thing I really liked what that everything was very clearly labelled vegan on the menu, and also when the food came out it was labelled vegan. This was great because it avoided any second guessing if the kitchen had prepared the meal correctly. Price was also reasonable and staff were friendly.

My boyfriend and I came for dinner because we wanted some apps, burgers and some drinks. The place is really nice on the inside and matched the vibes we were going for. Unfortunately, both appetizers came cold. In terms of mains, my boyfriend’s burger was extremely dry. They also messed up my order, I asked for no onions and it came with onions. I am pretty dramatic when it comes to hating onions (personal trauma?) and I truly do get nauseous when they are in front of me. I know accidents happen but it was just a frustrating thing to happen on top of all the food being poor quality. Although I never do this (to avoid being a Karen!!) I did ask to speak to the manager. Stephanie was awesome and super understanding. That place is lucky to have her. She took care of everything and went above and beyond to make up for the kitchen’s mistakes and it is clear she cares about customers’ experiences.

It could have been an off night in the kitchen, things happen. This was just my experience.

We had vegan meal and it was great. We got there early to beat the rush. It got super busy on a Sunday Father's day. Now we have been here twice and it just got even better.

Amazing place! They actually have something for everyone, vegetarians, vegans, meat eaters. They have the best kids meals out of all restaurants we and you have been. Enormous list of craft beer, friendly staff, delicious sauces that you can buy. I am mad at myself for not knowing about this place a while ago. Way to go Beertown. Where can I invest into this place other than going to eat there. You gotta eat here!

Our favourite restaurant in Newmarket/EG. They do such a great job in all areas - service excellent - food excellent - atmosphere and excellent. Plant based and GF menus that are actually good if you want them. It’s clear they actually put thought and care into everything they do. Big big fan, highly recommend!

Very dissapointing experience. We encouted an employee who seemed annoyed that we did not have reservations, then she said she would see if there was a table available. There were many empty tables around, and it was not during the busy hours, but we know that there might be reservations on their way, so we didn't mind waiting. There were 2 other really nice employees that asked if we needed assistance, and we let them know that someone was already assisting. Instead of updating us to let us know if she found a table, she seemed irritated and proceeded to try not to make eye contact with us. At a time, we did see her start to set a table but again gave us the cold shoulder and avoided eye contact with us. After a few more times that she failed to acknowledge us, we decided to take our business elsewhere. We had no problem waiting. It's the lack of communication and negative attitude that gave us a bad vibe to stay there. Very disappointing, this establishment looked very clean, and the food smelled good. We were also very excited to try the beer variety here and the flights.
