I've been a weekly customer of the Bayview shop for over 3 years, and I highly recommend their delicious Oceanwise salmon. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's great having a fishmonger along with the butchers and fruit/veggie stores for convenient, neighborhood shopping.

I have tried this place one other time and was decently satisfied with it. I have a big event coming up in 3 weeks and wanted to taste a couple options of their fish before deciding what to order for my event since we were planning on having a sushi station. However after my experience yesterday and their customer service, I won't be going back. I placed an order online and specified that it was for sashimi and sushi. When I got home and opened the salmon, I was shocked to find this half gray tail thin piece that smelled horribly. It was evident it was not fresh and after a quick google search I realized it was not safe to eat since the color of the fish is gray. After reaching out to customer service, they said the gray color was "safe and expected" of a tail piece and I "should've asked for a center cut". I'm not sure how much more I could've done as a customer by specifying in my order it was for sushi, calling the location once to confirm again it was to be used for sushi and asking if that would be okay. The customer service representative also stated that it might not be up to my standard but it was up to their standards to serve. I also called the location and once I explained the situation to the manager, I was met with a lot of silence and a literal "k". They obviously do not value freshness and customer happiness/loyalty and I will mostlikely be reporting the issue to public health since the customer service representative let me know it was up to their standards even after viewing the photos.

If you have business phone, it would be recommended that you answer the phone when customer calls. It's not a one off. I have called a few times now over the past couple of years. Prefer to go elswehere like St . Lawrence market.

I like this store and I would love to be able to buy more from them and support a local business. My problem is that the selection is soooo limited. They always have trout, salmon and tilapia. Otherwise, good luck....I wanted scallops yesterday and they only had 4 tiny little ones. I wanted Mahi last week, and they didn't have any. They told me to order on the website, but I went to the website and there's no Mahi. I'd be buying a lot more from this lovely store if they sold more than just salmon and tilapia and a random piece of snapper.

The store smells awful, like the counters have never been cleaned. Selection on the menu board is good, but selection from the counter doesn’t reflect that as counters were almost empty. Fish looks old and dry, which led to me not buying anything.

Living on Bayview this is my only go to for Fresh Fish, always ? a great experience. Fish source always listed, always fresh, staff highly knowledgeable with recommendations if needed ?, and also outstanding service from everyone. Great work ethics.
