My 42 year old niece, who has Down's Syndrome, has worked at Lemon and Allspice for many years. When she got the job with Lemon and Allspice after high school, it gave my niece an opportunity to obtain meaningful employment (no mean feat for those with disabilities in those days) and even more importantly have a sense of purpose and take pride in what she loved to do: bake. I applaud Carolyn Lemon for her foresight in establishing Lemon and Allspice as a workplace haven and much-needed employment opportunity for adults with disabilities.
