This is an amazing Eurooean style Bakery, cafe, deli, and grocery store that will always have you coming back for more. Bougatsa, Spanakopita and a coffee. Mmmmmm....

Received a beautiful pack of pastries from here as a gift and they're all so good! The classic baklavas are definitely the best ones

Back with the Baklava, as it becomes the baseline for establishing good bakeries, it is filled with a thick layer of walnuts soaked in a sweet, sticky syrup. A pastry that's quickly climbing my personal ranks, Galaktoboureko features a smooth custardy bite with a touch of vanilla, contrasted with the subtly crisp filo dough on top that's soaked with honey syrup.

I accidentally got in the bakery while searching for treats for daughter’s birthday. The bakery set up and atmosphere is so nice. Even service so good. Purchased some coke (like donuts) and biscuits. Both kids and adults like them. Many people asked me about bakery. I will keep visiting them. Missed tasting coffee, next I will definitely try it.

absolutely love this bakery!!! excellent food and service!! I shop there almost on a weekly basis - i buy the bread (baked there) and their quality is great!! i have gone to many other bakeries and as I buy the bread for my mom (93 years old) she know her bread and she loves select bakery's bread!!! thank you for being a place of quality in a world where it is difficult to find!!!

Kid-friendliness: kids can go in and pick what they want - of course parents should monitor!!

Wheelchair accessibility: street level and store does have space inside

Heard a lot about Select Bakery before I visited and entirely worth it even though I live on the other side of the city. My favorit is the almond macaroon and the Ferrero Mousse cake. I like the atmosphere which is very cozy and feels like stepping into a Greek family's kitchen, especially the coffee corner is good spot to sip a cup of coffee. The options are countless for cakes and pastries, and the service is friendly too. It is a delight to visit.

MEAN OWNERS!!
If there was a category on Google reviews for how rude, disrespectful, and flat out DESPICABLE the business treats their employees, THEY WOULD GET 5 STARS. Put aside the actual products, you will lose people’s BUSINESS with how AWEFUL you treat the young hardworking girls and your CUSTOMERS!!

I went in and first hand witnessed the old lady scream and embarrass a teenage employee who visibly looked uncomfortable (over something that a customer requested the young employee do). Not only that, another worker yelled at a customer so loud and rude, I had to leave! There is no baklava (or pay check!) that is worth experiencing and witnessing this treatment. I will never return and you shouldn’t either!

the baklava was missing walnuts and the owners were missing RESPECT!!!!

This customer’s service is so terribly bad instead of putting your attention towards the customers, who are waiting for your services the owners are yelling at the young employees which is very unprofessional and honestly I wanted to leave the store and I never want to support them ever again spread the word!!!

Absolutely disgusting they give expired food service is horrible and extremely rude two faced people I strongly recommend nobody has to experience going to this horrible bakery (con artists) and also soggy olives and overpriced notice how select is defending everything on google “maybe focus on your food instead of replying to honest people’s reviews.

DO NOT COME HERE! The staff is extremely rude and I’ve personally overheard them verbally abusing and swearing at their employees (even the young girls) !
I cannot stress enough to not support this business!! Instead try SERANO bakery just 5mins away… much better/fresher desserts and pleasant experience!

This is by far the best Greek bakery in Toronto, all the deserts are as authentic as can be. Loukamades, touloumbes, bakalavas are the best of any Greek bakery in the city, and are made with real, high quality ingredients without sacrificing or cutting corners like other bakeries do.

Nice Greek pastry shop to have in the area c:
went there again after a long time, and the homey atmosphere has stayed the same, with good quality desserts. We had Vanessa this time around, and she was super professional and sweet and great customer service skills.

I was going Select on my lunch break everyday for not only coffee, but other items as well. I was being charged $1.50 for my brewed iced coffee every single time by the same lovely ladies. After a miscommunication between me and the lady making my coffee today (she served me the wrong coffee, which is ok, and needed the manager's help) the manager came to the cash register and immediately punched in another $1.50. I told him I already paid, and he told me that I was supposed to be charged $3. Not $1.50, which i pay everyday. He then asked me, twice, to tell him who had been serving me $1.50 brewed coffee. I told him both times that I will not give him that information, and that the sign says $1.50 for a brewed coffee. EVEN if the ladies serving me were wrong, which they weren't, he still should have apologized, reminded me that it is not $1.50 going forward, and not charge me the extra 1.50 AFTER I already paid. What kind of customer service is that?! He needed my $1.50 that bad? Never coming back here again. Serano or Arto Cafe are way better.
