Update:Had lunch here today. Over $6 for 2 tiny coffee’s. (see size of mug in picture below.I think most restaurants will give you refill free. I had to pay for gravy when I ordered liver. Doesn’t liver always come with gravy? Meal was $18 but with tip, about 8 oz of coffee and gravy, it cost me nearly $30 bucks. Not impressed and will not return.Previous review:Clean and nicely decorated. Jerk chicken tacos were excellent!

Fireside is an awesome place to go with family and friends. We love the food and service and can really taste the love that the chefs have for their food! Our favorite thing on the menu are the shrimp tacos, you won’t be disappointed!

The food was so good here. And not expensive. The service was also very friendly. I'd definitely recommend this place. It's a little dark inside but that's probably the only setback. Husband had the beef ribs special this Wednesday. I had the Chipotle chicken wrap with side garden. Kiddo has chocolate milk with her mac and cheese and Italian wedding soup. Hubby was afraid it was Kraft dinner but it was not; it was much tastier! My wrap was tasty and has the perfect texture balance and not dry. Husband's beef ribs were a little crispy on the bark, but the sauce and the texture of the inner meat near the bone were soooo impressive and only $18 for 3 beef ribs entree! Their fries are good and not dry and are nicely salted. The place was not packed but not dead either, so service was in good time.Anyone looking for a good place to eat at Elliot Lake should come here.Parking: A couple spaces avail right in front of the entrance.Kid-friendliness: They accommodated our request for a booth for me and the toddler. Then happily provided a high chair when we decided one would be best. It wasn't a filthy high chair like some places offer. They had a kids menu. They also didn't put the hot plates or anything for that matter in front of my daughter other than crayons and a ln activity sheet, so I appreciated that thoughtfulness.Seems the crayons were used, which is a little questionable just a couple years after covid, but hand washing was easy enough before eating. The mac and cheese was a bit dry on the surface, but not the whole thing. It tasted so good. They didn't mind letting us take a toddle around the place to burn off some of her energy while we waited for food. Thank you so kindly for that.

This a brilliant and cozy restaurant in Elliott Lake! The special winter menu was outstanding, the draught beer selection included Manitoulin's Cream Ale, and the deserts included a Toblerone Cheesecake (!) that was so original that it was the obvious choice to go for. And it tasted just as a Toblerone should! Thank you, Karen and team for your friendly suggestions and service!

Honest Review:May mess up when ordering online. If this happens they will replace it with a new order as long as you explain what they messed up.Usually always good experience when dining in.Food was good.Prices are the highest in town.(Many random charges that are not shared throughout restaurants, 3.99 for a tiny gravy cup half filled advertised as “extra gravy” and many other similar charges for small items.)Service was good from some staff, poor from others. (50/50)Location is good.Overall 2/5 problems being mistakes and pricing.Could consider a 3/5 on a dine in day.

Disgusting. I’m not sure how your cook is qualified, but I assure you, they need some proper training. We had the worst food I’ve ever had for breakfast this past weekend. My omelette was completely brown. Like completely; you couldn’t even tell it was made from eggs. I can’t even believe your kitchen would even send it out. I immediately sent it back. After waiting 15 minutes for a new one, the server brought it out and it was still brown. She just put it in front of me and walked away. I reluctantly ate the parts that were edible because the rest of my party had almost finished their meals. My husband ordered eggs Benedict, poached soft. The eggs were hard as a rock, and I’m not sure how you can even call what you serve Hollandaise sauce. I’ve never tasted anything that bad. A package brand is better than what you’re serving. You need to figure out what Hollandaise is and what it should taste like.My mother in law’s pancakes were so hard, she couldn’t even cut them; and they were cold. The butter wouldn’t even melt. Your kitchen staff needs proper training. Needless to say, we will never be back. There is no reason to pay for food that is on this inedible scale. Terrible.

The food is delicious, but the price is far too high. They recently stopped including a piece of bread with their pasta. Only place I've eaten in years where bread isn't included with pasta.Considering the restaurant a few places over is closed on Mondays, I would only eat here on a Monday. Lots of potential, just a little too penny pinching lately.
