First time in Elliot Lake. A few folks recommended George's for dinner on Friday night. We ordered the souvlaki dinners. Generous portions; each bite delicious. Our server Nicole made our evening perfect! She was so welcoming and friendly. Nicole was courteous, attentive and very hardworking! The icing on the cake was meeting "the man".....George. He was so sweet and kind to us as we said our goodbyes. I hope to be back again - for the food, and George and Nicole!

This is a mom and pop type family restaurant. Old George still does his own cooking. Friday night he has a Prime rib buffet type all you can eat with delicious prime rib, mashed potatoes , he has roast potatoes but I'm not keen on whatever the flavor is. Buffet also has his hand breaded fresh perch, yumm, Cabbage rolls, the dessert is his famous black forest cake. It's real homemade with just the perfect amount of whip cream and cherry filling.He also hand dips everything including delish chicken fingers.If you want real food, go thereHis cake he sells if you order ahead for 35 which is an awesome price these daysLive local music fall and winter from 2 until 4 so if you don't want noise don't go at that time but it is pretty good musicOh and he makes baklavaHis homemade pizza is to die for

Had to wait a long time due to only one cook, and a full house. After- church crowd came in all at the same time...poor cook didn't shirk on food quality, we just had to be patient..

Our French fries was hard as a rock. Our fish still has the skin when in was battered . The coleslaw was served under my fries and gravy. The waitress was great and apologized for the food. Never again will we go there to eat.
