Charming restaurant setting in a charming village. Service was sloppy and the waiting between appetizers and main, was long. The food was over cooked, overpriced and underwhelming ( a small piece of farmed trout excessively dry with some slivered almonds sprinkled on top as an after thought ). A coq au vin dish made with two chicken thighs that seemed to be deep fried, also overcooked. It is a far cry from French cuisine, perhaps “French inspired” at best.
Service was very slow. The restaurant was busy so we understood but all servers would go up to people entering not even say hello they immediately said do you have a reservation if you said no you were told they did not have room for you until 4pm… while there were 3 empty tables inside the restaurant from 3pm-4pm. Very unorganized staff. We waited about 20 minutes for someone to even greet us after we sat down while we watched 2 staff members polishing silverware while we waited....

The mushroom linguine also tasted really great but I think I would enjoy it much more if the linguine was cooked al dente and left in full strands (rather than broken into small pieces). Overall, the dish had a great rich flavour and is worth trying.
