Fantastic smell when you enter this bakery, cinnamon, apple, and fresh breads, wander around looking at the goodies and take in the aroma. Plenty of helpful staff. The apple fritters are baked just the way I like them, dark and a little crispy on the outside, soft and a perfect bake inside. Parking can be hard to find, lots of traffic, and on going construction in Erin.

Lots of variety at this bakery: fresh bread and buns, cookies, tarts, donuts, pies, patties, samosas, they have everything. People seem to rave about the apple fritters so I had to get those. I ordered 4 since the cashier said they were freezable. I think they were $2.75/each. They were really good - soft and moist, cinnamon apple flavour with the perfect amount of glaze. I wanted to try the lemon cream cheese danish but they switch up the flavours and didn't have this one available. I am glad I tried this and it was delicious, but not worth my 40 min drive.

So looking forward to stopping at this bakery. We were booked into Maddie Hatters for high tea amd went to check out Horton's Bakery. Such smells and selection! I got a little of everything tea biscuits, tarts, rolls and donuts etc. I read such great reviews. We arrived at 12:30 p.m. I got home and tried some. The tea biscuits were so dry they crumbled, the blueberry Bearclaw was dry too. Everything is dry. Even my friends purchases were dryer than the Sahara she said. Sorry, won't be returning. Shame.

Wow. I have been buying baked goods here for decades. The apple fritters are half the normal size. Very disappointing ? sadly I won't be back if this is the new norm.

We can’t resist their apple fritters. Great to have a local bakery with fresh breads and baked goods available.

Stopped in on a Saturday morning as the reviews were impressive. We were able to grab a couple apple fritters and they were amazing. Also ordered a variety of tarts (2 peach, 2 raspberry and 2 plain). I wasn't impressed with the tarts. The shells didn't seem cooked all the way and the filling of the butter tarts was very runny (not my preference, I prefer a more solid filling) the raspberry and peach fillings were very good. I also got two raspberry turnovers which were very good and 2 blueberry bear claws which also werent my favorite. I found the dough was overly yeasty tasting and very dense. Service was quick and friendly. Overall 4/5

I went too late in the day to try one of their famous apple fritters. Which was disappointing after an almost 50 km bike ride. They did suggest pre-ordering in the future which means this happens often. Next time.

They never disappoint. A must stop for coffee and treats every time you are in the area. Warm reception all the time.

Best apple fritters. Try goodhearth bread and Bath buns.
