Amma's Kitchen

We visited Amma’s Kitchen for the weekend non-veg unlimited meal and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

There was little to no ventilation inside the restaurant. The air was filled with spice and masala to the point that our entire table (and even some staff) were coughing while eating. Proper ventilation is especially important in an active restaurant setting, and this made the experience very uncomfortable.

The food itself was below average. The Chicken 65 was extremely bland, with no noticeable salt and seemed to rely heavily on red colouring rather than flavour. The chicken curry and biryani were also quite bland. To make matters worse, we were initially served cold food, which felt like it may have been sitting out from a previous batch.

Since this is marketed as an unlimited dining experience, we also expected more attentive service. Staff were not very responsive and often forgot to bring requested items. I have been to other unlimited dining services, and there was a noticeable difference in attentiveness and overall service compared to this experience.

Overall, I will not be returning and would not recommend this place, particularly for elderly individuals or those with breathing sensitivities due to the ventilation concerns.

One of the best restaurants in the area. We tried the dosa chicken curry combo and the chicken dinner. Both were good but I like the chicken dinner more. The quantity and quality are great.

The food here is great and the server was engaging and went out of his way to meet our needs. Everything was cooked within a reasonable time and the food was affordable. The place kind of looks like a cafeteria so it’s not a place to go for a fancy occasion but it’s a great family spot for a casual dinner. We didn’t get to try the buffet but we’ll be back some time to try it out!

Gives me the back home feeling of this type of restaurants.
It doesn't have a huge signage, entrance is on the left side of the stairs. Parking is paid depending on time of the day as its in an office plaza. Its not a fancy place but serves good food for a reasonable price. Recommended for big eaters and food lovers. Call ahead to confirm table availability.
