This was such a surprise and delight. I had the Cobb salad and carrot cake and all I can say is that this was worthy of a 5 star review. My husband had chicken wings and I also tried one and they were phenomenal. We have a wing place in Peterborough that we love but this takes it next level. You will not be disappointed in service or the food. We were very impressed and it was so unexpected . Thank you Aileen as service was wonderful and your personality shone bright! Thank you for a lovely evening!

If you’re eating at the Bistro and May is your server, consider yourself officially spoiled. She’s basically the Swiss Army knife of hospitality: tour guide, coupon queen, food guru, and part-time comedian.

Her quippy one-liners had us laughing before the appetizers hit the table, and her recommendations saved us from spending half our trip lost, hungry, and broke. May didn’t just serve us dinner — she delivered an experience that could honestly be its own tourist attraction.

Forget the pool or the comfy beds, May alone is the reason to stay at this Holiday Inn. Someone give this woman a cape, because she’s the superhero of servers.

Bartender lady looks right at me and doesn't acknowledge me after I say hello. Waited 15 minutes seated at bar and gave up on getting a lousy beer.. You clearly hate your job lady so quit.

Super polite and welcoming, not pretentious even with the fancy vibes. Fast service the two guys who were hosting and bartending were very informative and friendly. Would come back even if I wasn’t staying in the hotel.

This is a lobby restaurant at the HI Toronto Airport hotel. Opening hours are 6.30am to 1am daily, plenty of table seating as well as bar space with tellies. Menu features a range of Canadian and western dishes, prices reasonable for airport area restaurants. Serving size portions just fine. We found service to be polite and timely as well.

We ate at YYZ Bistro during a recent stay at HI. Green salad and classic cheeseburger with fries were both fair. Nothing particularly outstanding nor bad, just decent food. Fine if staying at the hotel and seeking a quick bite to eat before calling it a night.

Truly the definition of a restaurant that’s only still in business because it has a captive audience. Such mediocre food. The calamari was served with a sauce that was either 90% mayo or possibly just… mayo. And so, SO many flies for an indoor restaurant whose patio was closed.

Ordered the spaghetti and the food portion was quite subpar for the price. Staff are lovely but the food to me is not really worth the price in my opinion. For 32 dollars the spaghetti has these tiny claims with no meat really and an absurdly small portion size with noddles that don't taste at all like they're high quality. Usually I like to take pictures of the food.. But it wasn't very nice looking and I finished it in about 5 minutes. It's not revolting food, but it's a standard meal for a price tag that screams convenience tax for being close to an airport.

I'm sorry 😔. I don't recommend it.

We waited 10 minutes for someone came to serve, and waited 40 more minutes to get the food. I’d say the waiting isn’t worthy.

The food was pretty good. Well the steak sandwich we had was good, the lobster dip was bad. The service was the worst service I have ever had. I was not even busy and the server was super slow claiming it was. I have been a server for over 20 years and that was so unacceptable. It took almost 20 to get milk after asking NUMEROUS TIMES. We didn’t have spoons for our coffee and tea, when we were done our meal they kept the plates on our table after we piled them up to show we were done. We stayed at the table for a while till our ride got there. And when we asked to get it cleaned up she seemed annoyed. Please work on your servers. The food is good but worst service I ever had. If someone if overwhelmed by 5 tables you shouldn’t be a server.

We had a great standout breakfast buffet that goes beyond the standard hotel fare. Unlike many other Holiday Inn locations, this buffet features an impressive selection of fresh fruit and smoothies, adding a refreshing and health-conscious touch to the morning spread.

The buffet includes classic breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, and pastries, but what sets it apart is the emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The vibrant fruit selection—often including melons, berries, and citrus—pairs perfectly with their made-to-order smoothies, a rare and welcome feature at a hotel breakfast. Whether you’re looking for a light, nutritious start or a hearty morning meal, there’s something for everyone.

Service is another highlight at Bistro YYZ. The staff is attentive and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Little touches, like offering takeout coffee cups for guests on the go, make it clear that customer satisfaction is a priority.

For travelers looking for more than just the usual buffet fare, Bistro YYZ delivers with fresh flavors and thoughtful details that elevate the experience. It’s well worth a visit, whether you’re staying at the hotel or just in the area for breakfast.

Nestled within the Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport at 970 Dixon Road, Bistro YYZ offers a delightful dining experience that exceeded my expectations. The restaurant’s inviting ambiance, coupled with its convenient location near Pearson Airport, makes it a perfect choice for both travelers and locals.

During my visit, I indulged in their breakfast buffet, which featured a diverse selection of freshly prepared items. Health-conscious diners will appreciate the fresh oatmeal and fruit bar, while those craving a hearty meal can enjoy perfectly cooked bacon and other traditional favorites. The freshly baked pastries were a particular highlight, adding a sweet touch to the morning meal.

For dinner, the Chef’s nightly specials showcased a range of flavors that catered to various palates. The menu offers a variety of high-quality dishes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The extensive collection of wines and microbrews complements the meals perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience.

The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re meeting clients, relaxing with friends, or simply seeking a satisfying meal, Bistro YYZ provides a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food that make it a standout choice in the area.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn on multiple occasions and quite often eat both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The food has always been consistent and very good. I've had the pizza, burger, wings as well as the breakfast buffet and single order breakfast off the menu which has always been good.

The staff are always courteous and prompt. We often have drinks there in the evening as a large group and everyone is more than accommodating.
