Ordered the spaghetti and the food portion was quite subpar for the price. Staff are lovely but the food to me is not really worth the price in my opinion. For 32 dollars the spaghetti has these tiny claims with no meat really and an absurdly small portion size with noddles that don't taste at all like they're high quality. Usually I like to take pictures of the food.. But it wasn't very nice looking and I finished it in about 5 minutes. It's not revolting food, but it's a standard meal for a price tag that screams convenience tax for being close to an airport.
I'm sorry 😔. I don't recommend it.
We waited 10 minutes for someone came to serve, and waited 40 more minutes to get the food. I’d say the waiting isn’t worthy.
The food was pretty good. Well the steak sandwich we had was good, the lobster dip was bad. The service was the worst service I have ever had. I was not even busy and the server was super slow claiming it was. I have been a server for over 20 years and that was so unacceptable. It took almost 20 to get milk after asking NUMEROUS TIMES. We didn’t have spoons for our coffee and tea, when we were done our meal they kept the plates on our table after we piled them up to show we were done. We stayed at the table for a while till our ride got there. And when we asked to get it cleaned up she seemed annoyed. Please work on your servers. The food is good but worst service I ever had. If someone if overwhelmed by 5 tables you shouldn’t be a server.
We had a great standout breakfast buffet that goes beyond the standard hotel fare. Unlike many other Holiday Inn locations, this buffet features an impressive selection of fresh fruit and smoothies, adding a refreshing and health-conscious touch to the morning spread.
The buffet includes classic breakfast staples like eggs, bacon, and pastries, but what sets it apart is the emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The vibrant fruit selection—often including melons, berries, and citrus—pairs perfectly with their made-to-order smoothies, a rare and welcome feature at a hotel breakfast. Whether you’re looking for a light, nutritious start or a hearty morning meal, there’s something for everyone.
Service is another highlight at Bistro YYZ. The staff is attentive and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Little touches, like offering takeout coffee cups for guests on the go, make it clear that customer satisfaction is a priority.
For travelers looking for more than just the usual buffet fare, Bistro YYZ delivers with fresh flavors and thoughtful details that elevate the experience. It’s well worth a visit, whether you’re staying at the hotel or just in the area for breakfast.
Nestled within the Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport at 970 Dixon Road, Bistro YYZ offers a delightful dining experience that exceeded my expectations. The restaurant’s inviting ambiance, coupled with its convenient location near Pearson Airport, makes it a perfect choice for both travelers and locals.
During my visit, I indulged in their breakfast buffet, which featured a diverse selection of freshly prepared items. Health-conscious diners will appreciate the fresh oatmeal and fruit bar, while those craving a hearty meal can enjoy perfectly cooked bacon and other traditional favorites. The freshly baked pastries were a particular highlight, adding a sweet touch to the morning meal.
For dinner, the Chef’s nightly specials showcased a range of flavors that catered to various palates. The menu offers a variety of high-quality dishes, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The extensive collection of wines and microbrews complements the meals perfectly, enhancing the overall dining experience.
The service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Whether you’re meeting clients, relaxing with friends, or simply seeking a satisfying meal, Bistro YYZ provides a welcoming atmosphere and delicious food that make it a standout choice in the area.
I have stayed at the Holiday Inn on multiple occasions and quite often eat both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The food has always been consistent and very good. I've had the pizza, burger, wings as well as the breakfast buffet and single order breakfast off the menu which has always been good.
The staff are always courteous and prompt. We often have drinks there in the evening as a large group and everyone is more than accommodating.
Food safety warning: avoid.
Biggest complaint about this hotel was the restaurant. Diagnosed Celiac requiring gluten free. This is one of the most common food allergies out there and my experience here shows how much of a liability your staff's lack of knowledge or basic customer service can be.
If I had taken their minimal advice, I'd have been sick for three - four days. They couldn't tell me what was gluten free except "the vegetables and fruit". Asked several times. At one point the server walked away while I was sitting at the table, nothing ordered. I waited twenty minutes and left. It wasn't full or busy. Just couldn't be bothered to find out some basic allergen information. It would have been fine if there was other walkable options nearby but no. It was a hungry morning in an overpriced outdated hotel. Won't be back at all.
Pic of my breakfast below. If I said it was a peanut allergy I feel I'd be taken seriously. Do you need a letter from my doctor? Why is such a basic concept so well managed by most establishments then totally gone to shite with places like this. Do better.

What an unexpected treat, much better than I would expect for a hotel lobby restaurant. The staff was uniformly friendly and personable, great! The vegan bowl was delicious and a huge portion size, I highly recommend it for vegans or non.
Vegetarian options: Get the superpower vegan bowl, it was very tasty and filling. The breaded seaweed was very fun, there was a fair amount of cashews, and it has a great sesame dressing.

Stayed at Holiday Inn 3 nights and ate a few meals at their YYZ Bistro . Food was excellent, along with great service ?pricing was very good ?
The Caesar salad with salmon was ? as well as home made potato and leek soup ?. Also my cousin raved about their chicken quesadia and butter chicken rice bowl.
Also, with dinner we tried a gin with club soda and splash of cranberry juice ..it was only $5.50. Excellent choice !
They also prepare a very good all you can eat buffet breakfast with fresh fruits , bagels, toast, bacon, sausage and turkey sausage, cereals etc. .

Bistro YYZ is possibly one of the worst experiences I have had at a restaurant. I ordered the butterchicken, and it tasted disgusting! It was incredibly unfresh and rubbery, exactly like how a microwavable quick meal would taste, but for $26-29. The side salad that came with it was on-par with the chicken for the lack of freshness, even having old brown lettuce. Also, the restaurant was SWARMING with flies, making the atmosphere nauseating. I've never seen deals quite this bad, overpriced, and amusingly terrible quality. DO. NOT. EAT. HERE!

Javed is an absolute superstar! Despite being the only server on the floor, he flawlessly attended to every guest with a smile and an unwaveringly positive attitude. Not only did he go above and beyond to assist everyone, but his recommendations were also spot-on. I personally tried the steak sandwich, and it was absolutely fantastic – perfectly cooked and juicy, not dry at all. Javed's dedication to ensuring every detail of our dining experience was impeccable truly sets him apart. Thank you, Javed, for your exceptional service and for making our visit unforgettable!
