Food tasted very bland. No flavours and bad service
Lovely place to have dinner! The food was great; we got to discover some new dishes thanks to the owner’s great recommendations. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had, would definitely recommend.

We went to take out some vada pav, samosa chat and chai.
Samosa chat was average and chai wasn’t strong at all: but the biggest problem is that they gave us wrong order. Instead of vada pav they gave us dabeli. There was literally no one in the restaurant at the time, we were the only guests. We found that out when we opened our food at home.
How do you make mistakes like giving the wrong order when there is no one else in your restaurant? I don’t understand.
Won’t recommend!

Favourite Indian restaurant by far! My family and I have been coming to Bombay On The Lake for several years now and it never disappoints. I look forward to every meal!! The food is made with love and everyone is very friendly!

Yesterday on July 23, 2025 at 1:30 pm I went to the resturant I really enjoyed the food. I choose Samosa Chat and Chicken Vindaloo. I asked her what to recommend for the the appetizer she choose Samosa Chat. I tried the food incredibly good both appetizers and main course. The resturant is hidden gem in Etobicoke, ON. I came here last autumn 2024 and recommended to anyway living in Toronto to try out for yourself. Worth every penny.

I went there last year 2024 while vacationing in ON and aunty ji ( owner ) was more than welcoming and friendly and this place was closest to our AirBnB which is why we decided to order food twice the same day. We were not diss at all.
5 stars
Fast forward 2025, my wife and I are in town again and went here just because we wanted to say Hi to aunty ji and have some good food. She wasn’t available. Ordered few things and received cold food like they microwaved chilli chicken with spots where heat didn’t reach. Sent it back. Ordered garlic naan which had corners too doughy and under cooked. Main course tasted good, I liked Achari chicken.
I believe they were closing before time due to lack of customers ( we were the only ones inside ).
Not a good experience this time and not sure if I will return here again unless I see Aunty ji keeping a tight reign over staff.

I got food from here for the party. Everyone loved the food. It was very good.
Where in Toronto it was so hard to find a restaurant who can deliver the food at home, they not only did that but also adjust as per my timings.
Highly recommend!
Delicious food and a wonderful owner. Terrific neighborhood spot.

Went with my friends to try Indian food for the first time, but the owner was rude and dismissive. She refused to serve certain items without reason and treated us differently than other customers. Even falsely accused my friend of opening the fridge. Won’t be coming back.
