My parents and I use to love going here cause their food was great and their portion sizes were beyond reasonable for the price. It was owned by Guyanese folks who took pride in their business. Recently though, there was a change in ownership and we noticed things declined. The quality of their dishes have dropped. They’re scaling back on portion sizes and trying to be smart but we can compare what we got before to what we get now. The joint is now owned by Sri Lankan owners who also own the takeout spot right beside this location. My parents visited that shop as well and noticed the exact same thing - they’re trying to be smart and scale back on the portion sizes. It’s not worth it anymore.
The Food is very good
Good service and good Indian Biriyani
Tried the lunch combo. Not worth at all.
I was the only customer at that time and now i know why.
Taste was awful!
I just came here and the server was kind but the food was not good.
I immediately left with a stomach ache and feeling nauseous.
I don't think this place is ever Caribbean owned anymore.
EDIT: Pretty sure I have food poisoning from here. I've kept throwing up and going to the bathroom. My stomach still aches and it's been almost 24 hours. Will never come here again.
Attended for a birthday dinner last night. Place is under new management. no oxtail, no plantain and no chowmein on a Saturday night? Also the plain roti or paratha looked more like naan bread. Our server also struggled to take our orders correctly. I think there was a language issue. this spot should just become an Indian restaurant.
FIRST OFF ALL ILL START OF BY SAYING ALL THE REVIEWS LEFT HAVE BEEN FRIENDS AND FAMILY OTHER THAN ONE OTHER REVIEW
Went there Friday night was always my favorite guyanise food spot . I got there was disappointed at ownership change now there not guyanise they are Sri lankin
Decided to give it a shot anyways. You never know
Bad mistake
ordered curry chicken and vegetable chowmein
Gave me basmati rice and few tiny piece of inedible chicken with straight spice not cooked .
Chowmein noodle wasn't even the right noodle and was totally slop mess of overcooked noodle was not edible had to throw both dished out. Ate some rocked my stomach
The server was yelling at the cook
It took 45 mins
Didn't mind the wait would have waited 2 hours if the food was what it used to be not this SRI LANKIN MESS THERE CALLING GUYANISE FOOD
I WOULD HAVE ORDERED SOMETHING SRI LANKIN IF THEY TOLD ME THEY CANT COOK GUYANISE
Can't believe the good times are over used to love this place

I placed an order online, received an email a few minutes later to say my order was ready for pickup. With extra time given, I walked into this place and they had NO IDEA what was talking about. After showing them the email receipt, they proceeded to say, “sorry, we didn’t check the computer. Give me ten minutes”
As hungry and frustrated I was, I still showed respect and said ok, no problem. Came back 15 mins later… two women came out to hand me my order but ASKED FOR MY LICENSE first. This is where I got frustrated because this is simply not how you do business. It is EXTREMELY unprofessional to be asking any of your customers for their driver’s licenses.. especially after how humble I was amongst their approach.
The worse part was, the food. I ordered oxtail and shrimp fried rice… it was absolutely disgusting and I am not a picky person at all. There was no seasoning on ANY of the food we received. I’ve never even had white rice that tasted so bad in my life.
Save your time, money, and stomachs.
UPDATED REVIEW IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER
1) A customer is not held liable for how YOUR restaurant takes online orders. If you stop online & delivery at a certain time, make sure the website doesn’t accept orders as well. Also, it was YOUR employee who apologized for “not looking at the computer”
2) Again, third party or not, it is not the customers fault how you decide to run your business.
3) Granted, I was given FREE white rice.. as you should for all the confusion.
4) Your policy should then be advised to the customer and clarified PRIOR to checkout. Again, this is not the customers problem. Speak with your third party in regards to that.
5) it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in business, the quality of the food I received was simply TASTELESS. If you’ve been in business that long, your food should be ON POINT no matter what.
As a business owner, you should be thanking all of your customers for their honest reviews, even if you don’t agree with it. That’s how you succeed!
Let this be a lesson, don’t ever disrespect people who spend their money to leave an honest review.
I was in the area and decided to give Caribbean Sun Restaurant a try on a whim, but unfortunately, I won’t be returning. The only positive part of my experience was the waitress, who was extremely friendly and welcoming. However, the food was a huge letdown.
I ordered two items from the menu, only to find out they weren't available. I ended up settling for the egg ball, corn soup, and their special chicken fried rice. The egg ball and soup were completely tasteless, lacking any flavor. The fried rice was decent, but only when I avoided the chicken, which tasted spoiled.
Overall, the service was great, but the food was disappointing. I can’t recommend this place based on my experience.
