Worst place. The steak was like the bottom of my shoe. I had to write down on a piece of paper what we were ordering. When I was leaving I told the old man how terrible it was and he came at me like a raging bull.
As authentic as I would imagine authentic gets. First time at a Spanish restaurant, visiting for summerlicious, absolutely satisfied. The steak was well seasoned, and my wife paella was filled with a generous portion of seafood. Recommend indeed!
Problem is that the owner who walks around the restaurant is quite unpleasant and certainly doesn’t believe that the customer is always right.
We like to eat leisurely and have a relaxing dinner but we were rushed. A definite no no in my book.
I had high expectations for this place since it's been open for many years, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to expectations. The menu is too long and took us a long time to choose. We ordered the house paella, and it was watery and full of onions. The calamari tasted like it had been reheated in the microwave (it was the owner's recommendation). The prices are very high for the poor quality of the food served here.
If you’ve ever experienced authentic Spanish cuisine, you’ll likely be very disappointed here. The food tastes more like something microwaved from supermarket than anything freshly prepared, at very overpriced for what you get in return.
I seriously feel for the owner and hate doing this because it seems like he is trying hard to keep the restaurant afloat, but honestly, this feels like one of those places that desperately needs a visit from Chef Gordon Ramsay to deliver a serious reality check to the hard headed owner who doesn’t want to listen and do everything himself.
And the sangria? Don’t even get me started. Charging $60 for a watered down pitcher that tastes more like juice than wine is just unacceptable and a robbery.
Worst Spanish restaurant ever!! Huge lack of respect towards Spanish food. Price is high, nothing is fresh, nothing tastes like Spanish food at all.
Great Paella
We’ve been coming here 20+ years. We especially love the croquettes, the garlic shrimp, scallops in saffron sauce and the sangria. The creme brûlée is wicked good.

We tried Paella in Barcelona and loved it. So when we came back to Toronto, and our friends asked us to join them for winterlicious, we agreed. We were all traumatized. I don't think those who tried Paella here for their first time will try it ever again!
The Paella was just soaked in water and extremeley tasteless. We felt like we're having soup. There were 2,3 small shrimps and lots of water-boiled onion. I haven't seen anything like this at all... how on earth one can combine shrimp, rice, onion and bell pepper and make it taste like nothing? They don't use spice at all... Imagine paying around 150$ for two and trying this... don't waste your time!

Have dinner on the last day of summerlicous. Restaurant is quiet. The owner complained much less people dine in after pandemic. We almost finished our dinner, then another group come in. Food is tasty. Lots of taps on the menu. Will come next time to try the tapas.

The food was very good. For summer-licious it was odd for them to combine the options into three meals as opposed to letting you choose one of each category, though they were flexible if that's what we wanted to do.

The food is decent. The octopus cooked to perfection, not mushy, not chewy, just right texture with mild seasoning
The ox tail is of large portion with rich flavor
I do appreciate the mini size paella.
My least favorite is the "pizza"
The menu is quite traditional, not contemporary.
The decor needs a refresh badly
The price point is on the high end in relation to the overall value
