Wow this place used to be great with the original owners. Recently changed hands and has gone wayyyyyyy downhill! Terrible food! Terrible service and the cost is ridiculous. Will never ever go back!

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience I’ve had. A Special birthday event was carefully planned and the 7 of us walked out 40 minutes after arriving. We at that time had still not ordered anything. They were out of white wine and told us we had to drink red because that’s what you drink with Italian food. The worst atmosphere and service. Please shut down or make improvements to this restaurant. You can start by putting the right sign on the front door. It is a neighbourhood embarrassment.

I have come to this restaurant many times in the past and it was always a good experience. My cousin and I hadn't been in a long time so we decided to go back. This time it was a terrible experience. When we first sat down and ordered drinks, the waitress did not mention any items were not available. Once we began to order, we ordered the arugula salad and she said they did not have arugula. We asked for the Ceasar and she said actually we don't have any lettuce for the salads. I asked for the basil peach lemonade and she said it was sweet - it was very bitter. We ordered the arancini and the olives, they were okay.
Getting ready to order the mains and when I asked for the lobster ravioli, she said they don't have ravioli. So I asked for the sea bass and she said they did not have that either. I decided to just go with starters since I was set on those 2 options. I asked for the meatballs and shrimp and she said they are out of both. I settled for the chicken alla vodka and it was nothing special. We both did not finish our meals.
The place looks run down, lights kept flickering on and off. Chairs were on the table when we walked in at 6pm. Our waitress would leave for a long time and not come back to check if we needed water or anything. When she brought out appetizers, we had to ask her 3 times to bring out plates and cutlery.
Unfortunately this place has gone way down and it's not worth it

The worst experience.
We called Sinthuran on wednesday last week to book the reservation for us. He asked us to come and meet this week, we wanted to check the place and suite first before booking.
We arrieved at the restaurant at the given time by Sinthuran, he didnt pick our calls. The server working inside also called him but he hung up on the server as well.
We travelled from a long distance. We waited for more than 1 hour, no respanse from his side.
Dont go to this restaurant, they are not professional.

We recently had our daughter’s baptism at Cellar Door and we were SO dissapointed with the day. We had been to Cellar Door in the past and loved the food and atmosphere. I believe since then ownership and management has changed and you can definitely tell. The restaurant is very out dated, paint peeling, holes in the wall, tables and chairs broken, lights flickering, barely functioning AC and no music in background. Im surprised that restaurant is able to stay open in this condition.
The restaurant says they can hold 65-73 people comfortably for events and that is completely false. We had 51 guests and we were so squished that our family and friends couldn’t even move around. When setting up there wasn’t even enough tables to fit everyone.. thankfully we had 4 people cancel because I truly don’t know where they would’ve sat. When my sister asked for another table the lady told her there isn’t any left and they are broken. If Cellar door is going to host events you have to make sure there’s enough tables for the amount of people we had. You said the restaurant fit 73 people with the bar stools we were 51 people and barely fit not because of how the tables were set up but because there wasn’t enough tables to eat on. We somehow made it work but if those guests showed up I would’ve been so embarrassed because I really don’t know where they would’ve sat.
I went to Cellar Door the night before to drop off some decor for our event on Sunday. I was told by the manager that night that she would be able to set up our tables and have the restaurant set up for Sunday morning as we didn’t have much time to set up on Sunday so it would give us a head start .. no tables were set up, the chairs were stacked, the restaurant wasn’t even close to being ready. We were told we could meet someone there at 11:15am and no showed up until almost noon and on top of it she was very very unfriendly and didn’t accept help from my family and friends who went early to set up.
They had one great server who thankfully knew what she was doing even though she just started working there that week. If it weren’t for her it would’ve been even more disorganized because the other server working the event had no idea what she was doing and was dropping food off to people that they didn’t order. I later found out that people ate the food that they didn’t order but didn’t want to say anything because of how disorganized it was. I spent hours collecting my guests orders and organized seating plans and excel sheets to make it easy for the restaurant and they still managed to mess up.
When we got there no one was ready on the pizza oven, no salads were prepared. I told the manager that we would arrive between 1:30-2:00 and to please have pizza and salad ready because I’m sure people would be hungry. Pizza wasn’t served until 245-3. The Norma pasta was supposed to be cassarecce and they served rigatoni, totally different pasta. All the vegetables were cold. Many people got the short rib and most of it was fat barely any meat. The best part of the meal were the pizzas.
We were a big party and paying a decent amount of money I believe the food should’ve been perfect and exactly what we asked for. People felt bad complaining because they didn’t want to upset me and said they felt bad because the servers seemed so dishevelled.
If you’re thinking about having your event at Cellar Door, don’t. I wasn’t going to write this review but I reached out to management to discuss and never received a call and felt like people needed to hear this honest review before wasting your money here.

Disappointing birthday dinner. One waitress despite her tries could not handle all the tables at the same time so it was difficult to order, and then she was bringing food not at the same time, appetizer came after mains, she was constantly asking what did we order, part of dish did not come... it feels like I can keep writing something bad infinitely. Shaky table, quality of food differs, missing dishes from the menu, bad drinks all contribute to an unpleasant experience

We had a reservation for 12 ppl for my daughter's graduation since she loves italian food.
The food was good but the lady server was extremely rude. While taking our order she left after taking 3 out of 12 orders, a few minutes later we saw her taking order from the other table that had arrived after us. Then she moved to the other table to take order again that table had arrived after us, so my friend asked her why is she not taking our order? She replied rudely that her tablet was dead. My friend said how come you are taking order from the other table even though they arrived after us. Then she came to us and went to my friend and said I will start with you since you are complaining in a rude way. My friend asked for the manager and surprisingly she was the manager.
We had 3 of our orders wrong and again we had to wait. When I paid the bill she was like, why didn't you add the tip I served you, despite charging me 18%service charge on my bill she still wanted me to tip her.
I will never go there again.

The girl at counter is very rude to the delivery drivers. She always speak in disrespectful way to the uber people especially Indians. I have visited this restaurant twice and the behaviour is still same.

Not what we expected. MANY menu items not available, Some dishes were inedible. Kitchen was disorganized and forgot to make one main order. Not a good experience
Easily the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. The food was okay. Service was rude and painfully slow. The place was filthy. Nothing about this place is worth your time or money. Avoid at all costs.I saw my friend go through a very stressful experience while working here. They weren’t paid on time and were harassed even after leaving the job. It was disappointing to see this kind of treatment from an employer.
