Terrible just terrible! Avoid this store at all costs. We live close by and only pop in when absolutely necessary. Otherwise we drive to Dixie Mall where the store is cleaner and the associates have been providing exceptional service consistently.Here’s my experience with a bit of back story. We are staying at a hotel because our condo flooded and it is no longer safe for us to be in our home.Recently we visited this store to buy a few items and get cash back.Now I know that sounds quite simple but it was far from it.I bought tide and wireless headphones then cashed out with my cash for laundry. When I returned to the car hubs said we didn’t need the items I had bought…he had his wireless headphones and he had grabbed our tide before we left. Not a big deal I thought. It was A VERY BIG DEAL! Because we were already in the parking lot I just turned around and went right back in to return the items.Colleen, was the employee there to assist. I asked which desk to make a return. Instead of kindly providing me the information she yelled at me! “Why are you coming back to return all this now”? “You just bought it” “what games are you playing”?I’m the type of person that’ll often give the benefit of the doubt. So, I asked is there a problem? I have my receipt. I went on to explain that I no longer needed the item. She INTERRUPTED ME and again yelled “I don’t know what you’re think you’re doing playing these games”Yes, I have had a not so pleasant interaction with her in the past. Over the holiday I went to buy staff thank you gifts for my employer, then he changed his mind and I had to return the items. But with all do respect to this store and it’s employees. This is life. Your policy states that in order for returns to be made items must be returned as they were purchased and within the time specified period. I did this. So what’s with the extra accusations and interrogation?The problem is they don’t have the appropriate training to deal with one off situations. They don’t know how to give a customer the benefit of the doubt. They’ll just accuse you of being a troublemaker etc. SEE REVIEWS BY OTHERSGetting back to my recent experience now, after the interaction with Colleen became too escalated I walked away and called the store asking for the owner. Well, lovely Mrs.Colleen of course answered the phone and refused to assist me with my request.After a nearby associate agreed to get him, he too was poorly trained and escalated the situation even further by saying “if you’ve had such terrible service here then don’t come back”. He should be apologizing for this experiences not doubling down and making it worse.He then refused to handle my return himself saying “if you want your return Colleen is the only one who can do it.” That to me just seemed odd. As a store owner how do you not know how to operate the registers or solve the problem amicably for the customer!?Just do yourself a favour and avoid this store. It turns out kindness and empathy ARE a frill.
