The place is really good from inside. When you see it from the outside you can’t tell. The food is really amazing talk of the savers. They were exceptionally good with a very warm welcome. Took my wife out for her birthday and we decided to try Cravin Kitchen + Lounge for the first time, we saw it on TIKTOK. My people, this place is somethinn! The vibe was calm, clean, and not crowded at all, which I actually liked. Our server mentioned it’s usually livelier on Saturdays with DJs and parties, but since it was Sunday, it was quiet. Honestly, that made it perfect for us to relax and enjoy our night together. Now, I have to give Kazi her flowers! she was absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down, she took care of us. My wife had a few requests for her drinks, and Kazi handled everything with patience and kindness. We gon be back for that Lagoss!! She checked in at the right times, always smiling, and made sure we had everything we needed. That service! Top notch!
We ordered the Caesar salad, seafood pasta, and steak, and amazing food man. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked especially that steak, juicy and tender just the way my wife asked. What really stood out was how thoughtful Kazi was. When she found out it was my wife’s birthday, she made it extra special and even suggested a few nice spots around Toronto we could visit after dinner. That small gesture meant a lot. We would’ve loved to come back on a Saturday for the party vibe, but we left Toronto the next day!! Definitely next time! If you’re looking for a place with great food, amazing service, and good energy, Cravin Kitchen + Lounge is it. Big up to Kazi for making my wife’s birthday night one to remember. 👏🏾👏🏾

I’m not usually one to leave Google reviews, but Cravin Kitchen + Lounge definitely deserves one. The environment was welcoming and comfortable, and the food was amazing especially the Jollof rice. It stood out, full of flavor and perfectly made. Our waitress (I believe her name was Qazi, not sure how to spell it) was wonderful! very polite, attentive without being overbearing, and she made sure we had everything we needed with such a nice attitude. Her service really elevated the whole experience. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and outstanding service. I’ll definitely be back!

I would like to love this place, it’s walking distance from my house, but, it wasn’t a pleasant experience. We had dinner around 7 pm on a Friday night. There was only one other party of 4 for most of the evening.
We ordered drinks, my drink took about 10 minutes to arrive, however, I ordered a glass of pinot Grigio, I’m pretty sure I got a glass of Chardonnay. My guest’s drink, which was nonalcoholic, a Sprite, didn’t come until I reminded the server. It finally came 5 minutes later.
Our appetizer also took some time to arrive after we finally got our drinks. I do have to say, the chicken appetizer was delicious! In a spicy, tangy tomato sauce over fresh arugula and basil. 😋
As for the mains, my guest very much enjoyed the chicken burger, and the truffle fries were amazing!!!
As for myself, I am a French Canadian person who likes to experiment and try different things that I don’t make at home. I ordered asun 33, which is goat (I like goat but in my experience, goat was not deboned, not the case here!) which came with a side of plantains. I don’t like plantains, I asked if I could replace the plantains with any other side dish, the answer was no. I also overheard the other table questioning plantains on their plate when they had asked for a substitution (and they were not Caucasian! Seems like this restaurant is pushing plantains on everyone!) Very disappointing given that the plantains were by themselves on one side of the plate, and it was clearly not a stew type of dish where plantains were incorporated in the dish.
I would like to support this restaurant and the culture it represents but I can’t see myself entertaining a client or having a family function here because the service is too slow, especially on a Friday evening which should be a busy night, which it wasn’t, and because they are so rigid with substitutions.
I truly wish for the owners of this restaurant to truly decide who their target market is and how to appeal to them, because the food is fantastic, but, given the neighbour hood, some tweaks could be made to bring this restaurant to the next level.

I went to Cravin with friends last night (Sept. 13, 2025) for a birthday party, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, the service and food were a disaster.
Two of my friends ordered salads with chicken and I ordered the green salad without onions as I have an allergy to them. One friend’s salad came with no dressing, and after asking several times for it and the server finally brought it. I waited far longer than everyone else for my salad and when it finally arrived, it had raw onions in it, even though I made it clear I’m allergic. The server offered nothing beyond a quick apology and walked away without offering a replacement or solution— which left me without food for the evening.
After that whole fiasco, we ordered the chicken bites. We waited for half an hour before we asked the server if she had put in our order. She assured us they were coming, but they never made it to our table.
To make matters worse, we were ignored for the remainder of the evening and had to ask for the bill. When the waitress finally brought the receipt and the machine over, I had to insist on seeing the bill, as she tried to hand me the machine to pay without me reviewing the breakdown. This is when we realized we were being charged for chicken bites we never received and they made it seem as if they were doing us a favour by not charging for the salad I was allergic to.
Between forgotten items, serious allergy negligence, poor communication, and lack of customer care from the staff, this was hands down one of the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I will not be returning to Cravin, and I will not recommend it to others.

I had a truly awful experience at this restaurant. My salad arrived missing several items and without dressing. When I asked, it took the waiter over 10 minutes just to bring dressing, pepper, and parmesan. Despite everyone at our table being respectful and cordial, the waiter had an attitude the entire time. He never offered to correct the salad, replace it, or even clear our plates—despite walking past our table repeatedly.
On top of that, I ordered chicken that never came, yet the bill still included a charge for it. Had we not checked, the restaurant would’ve taken payment for food that was never served. All of our orders were messed up, but my personal experience left me especially frustrated.
I walked out of the restaurant hungry, disappointed, and shocked at the lack of care. Thank God I noticed the mistake before paying.

Management was not only unhelpful but downright rude when we tried to address our concerns. On top of that, the music was blaring so loudly that it felt more like a nightclub than a restaurant. To make matters worse, the whole place had an unbearable smell that reminded me of an outhouse. Definitely not worth the time, money, or headache.
