I was really looking forward to trying Demetres’ new Kunafa Strawberry Cups after seeing their ad on Instagram. As someone who loves kunafa desserts, I was genuinely excited — but that excitement disappeared the moment I got my order. The portion was shockingly underwhelming. The cup wasn’t even filled properly — it was basically 90% strawberry, a bit of chocolate, and a tiny smear of pistachio cream. There was barely any kunafa flavor or texture at all. For something that looked so rich and indulgent in the ad, this was such a letdown. But honestly, that wasn’t even the worst part. When I went to speak with an employee about the poor portion, he said he couldn’t do anything and called over his supervisor, Patrick. Instead of listening or trying to help, Patrick started arguing with me, dismissed my concerns, and eventually walked away mid-conversation. I felt badly mistreated and embarrassed — the interaction ruined my night. If you see Patrick working, my advice is to leave — that’s how uncomfortable the exchange made me feel. I honestly think Patrick could use a serious retraining or maybe even a demotion until he learns how to properly handle customer concerns. The way he interacted with me was completely unprofessional. Between the misleading ad, the tiny portions, and the rude supervisor, this was one of the worst dessert experiences I’ve had. Definitely won’t be returning.

I recently visited Demetres Uptown Bloor and was really disappointed by both the service and quality. The supervisor, Patrick, was openly making fun of us with crew members, which felt unprofessional and uncomfortable. On top of that, the “Dubai Chocolate” I ordered was poorly made the cup was only half filled with not enough chocolate or kunafa. For a place known for its premium desserts, the experience felt careless and below standard. I hope management takes this seriously because customers deserve better treatment and consistency.

We walked in excited to have the Dubai chocolate cups cause they were advertised beautifully. As you can see online the cups are filled and look delicious. When we payed the total was 16.67 to which we were shocked but thought to ourselves it will for sure be worth it. To our surprise when we received the cups they were barely even filled. We talked to one of the workers who tried helping but said he couldn’t do much. Then the supervisor came his name is Patrick and I want to warn everyone about him. Stay away from this location and definitely stay away from him. We tried explain that if you could fill it up a bit more that would be great to which he argued sorry that’s the max we can fill it. Which was funny since all three cups were filled even more less than the one before. We tried reasoning but Patrick did not budge to which he had to just walk out. So Dissapointed Patrick is completely ruining this location I can see why everyone else was also agreeing with me saying that’s ridiculous.
