I’ve been coming here for years and the food is always fresh. I was there this evening at 3:45pm and the cashier was EXTREMELY rude and impolite. If you don’t want to work then leave and let someone else take over who appreciates their job!! She totally ruined my experience .. I wish I had her name!

So if you're looking for real German bread, cakes and pastries, you've come to the right place. There is bread made with all types of grain, not just wheat. Ditto, there are fresh Christmas stollen and what I didn't expect at all are rum balls. Parking spaces are available. It smells good in the bakery. A piece of German homeland.

Those pretzel sticks! My absolute favourite item since childhood. A great place to visit and shop for treats and baked goods. Kindly note that it's CASH ONLY. Although inconvenient, they do have an ATM on site.

I've been going to this wonderful bakery since the beginning of the year. The only real German bakery in Toronto (until Grandma's German Bakery opened near Dundas West Station). It's very far from where I live, but I always manage to go there almost every weekend.
A large selection of fresh and super tasty breads and pretzels in different sizes and shapes, with wonderful service. All breads and pretzels are vegan.
Just wish they accepted debit cards, but it's still worth the visit again.

From a German perspective, the quality of baked goods is closer to the German average than all supermarkets in Canada, but still measured against the average. The pretzels offered as “pretzels” definitely do not have the consistency of their namesake. The service staff seems quite unmotivated with the exception of the "Cleaner 4".

I recently visited this bakery and was impressed with the quality of their bread and cookies; they truly deliver excellent products. However, the customer service leaves much to be desired. The lady at the cash desk was rude, unprofessional, and aggressive, making inappropriate comments about customers right in front of them. It’s clear that the manager needs to invest in proper staff training. While the baked goods are top-notch, the service is far below acceptable standards. I hope the management addresses these issues soon.

Bringing my mother on a cake with coffee celebrating every Sat... (Update) My mother passed away a year ago. Now i come along to the place for coffee and remember the times when we were coming here together... The place is not changing, the same quiet and nice.
