When I feel like I need to have someone take care of me for a hot minute I stop in, have a cappuccino, maybe take out a chicken parm / piece of lasagna and not only is your stomach refueled but also your soul! πππβοΈπ°

Amazing cappuccino and the owners were so lovely
Cute little bakery and deli in Etobicoke near Islington and Dundas! The family owned Italian bakery has some of the best chicken and veal sandwiches with authentic Italian cuisine in a welcoming environment running by the store owner mother, father and son who treat you like their own the second you walk in the door to the smell of fresh coffee and fresh homemade pastries! Highly recommend especially their veal!

I love this little Italian bakery! The owner, she is so cute, sweet, and welcoming π. You can taste the love theyβve poured into this family business for 40 years. I wish I lived closer because Iβd be here every other day!!! Iβve only visited twice and I keep thinking about when I can go back.
Everything I tried was delicious: fresh-out-of-the-oven cannolis, their tortellini π€€, spagatini, pepperoni and cheese pizza, lasagne, and the $8 chicken parm sandwiches! This place is a total gem π π

We found this place by chance about 5 years ago and we liked it. Now, whenever we have the opportunity, we go in for coffee and food. The owner - an older woman - cooks herself. Everything is very high quality and delicious, like grandma's. But you need to come early - because everything is quickly sold out.

Friendly and helpful service. Cozy resto.
The veal sandwiches (18$ as of 10-2025) were really tasty and filling. Not too bready and the peppers and shrooms were nice to have included. Would have liked a little more sauce, but overall, really good.
The doughnuts were bouncy and yeasty, and not stale.

I've been in a few times now and I love this place. Fresh hot food daily, super personable people who own and work here. It's definitely worth it to support their business today I got a chicken sandwich and cannoli which I'm super excited for, I usually get their pastas which are so tasty

We had the cheese tortellini and pecan butter ice cream. The tortellini was the best Iβve tasted in years. It had the right amount of salt and garlic - it was awesome! The ice cream was extremely flavourful and creamy - absolutely delicious.
The service was friendly. The atmosphere definitely gave me a wonderful Italian feeling.
I would definitely eat here again - every day if I could.

I hadn't been to Espresso Bakery for almost 2 years having moved to Ottawa and spending the cold months in Mexico. When I lived in that city full time Espresso was my go to place to eat and be with the owners who always treated me like family. Since leaving Toronto I refused to eat lasagna anywhere else because when I did in Ottawa and Mexico I was always disappointed. I spent more than 2 weeks visiting friends in the area and ate at least 12 out of 15 days there. I probably enjoyed their lasagna at least 8 times bringing some home for my host who said he had never eaten that much wonderful Italian food in his life.
Since I have known them for over 35 years I tried to meet Pina's family members on most Saturdays to catch up on the goings on of this tight knit group. Having been to several of the weddings and other gatherings and thrown many of my own Christmas Parties there some people thought I might have been a partner.
On this trip I saw so many customers who have been regulars for over 25 years and they all knew me!
If you want to enjoy delicious, reasonably priced Italian food and have a few laughs you won't find a better place than Espresso. Sometimes it feels like a reality TV show so come often and become part of the familia!!
