Quaint and charming little mom and pop shop that has great piping hot cappuccinos and veal sandwiches. The sandwich bun was also nice and soft and the people running the shop are lovely. Would choose local over the big chains any day!

If you're looking for an espresso and a classic Italian lunch or dessert, you'll find it here, served with traditional Nonna charm. We had a cappuccino and two donuts. Dining here, we had the feeling of being in a little corner of Etobicoke history - 40 years of care and service. A little family place. Just lovely.

European Bakery & Deli holds a special place in my heart after over 15 years of visiting. This quaint, family-owned gem never fails to impress with its incredible array of delights. Their donuts are simply heavenly — a must-try! The lasagna is rich and comforting, and their cannolis are a true taste of Italy.
One bite of their chicken parm sandwich, and you'll understand why people rave about it. It's so good, you'll find yourself begging for more!
What I love most about European Bakery & Deli is its warm, welcoming atmosphere. It feels like visiting family every time I walk through the door. Whether I'm grabbing a quick coffee, a salad to-go, or indulging in a refreshing Gelato cone on a hot summer day, every visit is a delightful experience.
Thank you, European Bakery & Deli, for consistently delivering exceptional food and service. Here's to many more years of enjoying your delicious offerings!

Great coffee and even better service!!!
After a recommendation from a friend and upon reading the many positive reviews, this morning, I visited the Espresso Bakery and Deli for the first time.I asked the gentleman behind the counter if he had any cannolis, he explained that they would be ready in 5-10 minutes and that I could wait or come back. I chose to wait. A few minutes later, a woman came out from the back and repeated that it would be 5-10 minutes and they would be $2.00 each (I wanted 3), or I could have 3 from yesterday for $5.00. I said that I would wait for the fresh ones.Shortly after that a second gentleman came out to get a brown paper bag. I politely told him that I would prefer a small box because I felt the cannolis would be fragile and I had to walk a little ways. Upon hearing this, the woman came back out with the cannolis already in a bag with the top scrunched closed. In an abrupt manner she said the cannolis were not fragile, she did not have a small box (unusual for a bakery), and 3 cannolis would "look stupid" in a big box and she would only give me a box if I purchased 6 cannolis.I then asked her if I could please see the cannolis in the bag. She said "no, first you pay and then you see". I asked her if she was serious and she said "yes". The reason I wanted to look in the bag was to see if the cannolis were standing up vertically because this causes some of the filling to stick to the bottom of the bag.At that point I told her that it was very disappointing because the food and service of her establishment had come highly recommended and I felt that she had been nothing but rude towards me the entire time. She seemed shocked by the fact that I chose not to purchase the cannolis.I understand that this was not a large purchase, but I already had the intention of returning for a meal with two sets of friends. That is no longer going to happen. One would think that small businesses appreciate all customers and understand that the best advertising is word of mouth. It is interesting to note that the many positive reviews are responded to by the owner, however, the negative reviews are not acknowledged.
Delicious basic Italian fare and pastries. Nice sangwiches, pizza, lasagna along with Cornetto, turnovers, bomba and more as well as a small grocery selection. Very friendly owners as well.

Stop by quickly thinking I’d grab a quick sandwich. Got inside and everything was being freshly cooked in the morning. I loved the family atmosphere so much me and my family decided to eat in. We had an amazing slice of pizza, while the chicken for the sandwiches were cooking. We watched fresh vegetarian pasta come from the back and decided to have a plate of that as well.. it was amazing too! We enjoyed conversations with the amazing workers behind the counter as well as faithful customers walking in and out. Finally got our sandwiches and again another amazing dish! Thank you to espresso bakery! I will be coming back and I highly recommend.
