I’m so sad to hear that Funny Bones on Lakeshore is closing. My son and I were frequent visitors, and it was hands down the best games lounge in the area. The food was always great, and the staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and kind.

On behalf of the community and your loyal customers, thank you for all your years in Etobicoke and for creating such a special place for all of us. We hope this isn’t goodbye and that you’ll open again somewhere new very soon.

The best board game cafe in West End. IMO it’s the best board game cafe in the city — much better than places with time limits, mediocre game selection, and overpriced food. The food and drink menu have tons of tasty options and the owners and staff are all super passionate and knowledgeable about games. This is the place to be!

Awesome place to chill and play games! Rod was super helpful and recommended two excellent 2-player games for us to try. I'm glad we have a place like this in the neighbourhood and don't have to travel far to a snakes & latte!

Funny Bones is absolutely fantastic! Our son attends summer camp and PA days here, and it’s always the highlight of his week. He especially loves the D&D programs, which have been such a fun and engaging experience for him. The owners and staff are truly wonderful—kind, welcoming, and so dedicated. This place is a hidden gem, and we’re so grateful to have it in our community.

Really nice spot to hang out with friends! They have a massive selection of board games and plenty of snacks to choose from. The place feels cozy and has a nostalgic vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed night out. Definitely worth checking out if you’re into board games or just want a fun, low-key hangout.

A super inviting and family fun games lounge filled with students, couples and kids on the weekend. Play all day, rent or buy new games. Had my son’s birthday party here and they came up with fantastic, age-appropriate activities, games and made it easy and fun!! Camps are hands down some of the best in the west end. Adore this small business and their team!

My wife and I spent three hours playing board games in Funny Bones on a lovely Wednesday evening. The selection of board games is vast, over 1000 games strong and organized by categories useful for would-be players like co-op, good for couples, competitve, and then by genre etc. the owners do well with their finger food menu and large selection of milkshakes, which were excellent. Food is reasonably priced, and is finger/bar food, easy to snack and play with. They also have a good selection of retail for purchase games, where we got 'Aeons End The New Age' for slightly less than you'd find online, while still supporting local. The cover charge of 6$/person for unlimited playtime is VERY reasonable, and amounted to 2$/hr for us. We will be coming back!
