the pricing is ridiculous 15.95 for one piece of battered fish and it was mainly batter asked for sweet potatoes fries got regular fries. coffee was awful so strong. my hubbie had 22.00 meal with a grilled fish no bigger than 3×3 and a garden salad mainly Lettuce one piece of tomatoes and 3 pieces of red onion. never going back!!!!

at the markham and kingston road location in Scarborough, The male server was very rude with my family on family day from not allowing us to chose the table we preferred although the restaurant was empty, to rushing us to order, to acting surprised when i asked the dishwasher to get his attention to clarify my order which was placed at the table when i was in the washroom. The fries were very hard and not tasty. For 21$ a meal this is not the service/customer treatment, or quality of food one would hope for or expect. It seemed he was giving an ungrateful attitude for our business. He even said "dont come back if this is how you behave" when i called him out on rushing us to pay, when i let him know i will pay now but not be rushing myself to finish my meal at any point soon. I tipped very miminal, because it actually felt like he didnt deserve a tip at all for his unaccomadating , impatient and impolite attitude..Good luck. I really hope this location does something about the poor customer service skills of this man, because this isnt a new issue. He was rude and unaccomadating last time to even a few years ago, this restaurant wont be able to stay in business very long if they treat all customers in such an ungrateful manner.

I had a wonderful time at Halibut House. The portions were big and the food was delicious. Fish was crispy and fries were fresh.

Great place for fish and chips as well as other sea food delights. They do a brisk takeaway business and it's not hard to understand why. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Prompt service. They have breakfasts too until 4pm. Everything is good value for the money.

Delicious fish, very fresh and delicate. The fries are great: made from fresh potatoes and cooked perfectly. Generous portions. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Second time at this location and very satisfied both times.

I stopped by this restaurant a few times. Halibut and Cod are great. I like grilled salmon the best. The fries are always hot, crispy and fresh. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. I plan to come back for breakfast.

I love the full menu and the home style dishes that come with plenty of grub to satisfy the hungriest folks. I wasn't hungry and opted for a BLT and salad. The food came quick and served perfectly warm. Usually the bacon come cold, but it was obvious that this spot cooked the meat for me on the spot. Would recommend if looking for a home style meal, lots of options. Breakfast looked great as well.
