Went nearby for kayaking and a friend suggested this place for brunch. I was hopeful based on the location in the Old Mill hotel. I was blown away. The omelette was so fluffy. I thought the bacon was in it but on the side worked. All this fruit (and more, we ate some) for $9. I loved the julienned veggies and my friend loved the hint of mustard on the eggs benny. I chose multigrain bread and they had 2 other options too. I drink decaf and the cappuccino wasn’t bad! Service was good. Our breakfasts were in the mid $20s which is what I expect for a place like this but everything was amazing. I’ll be back. Am curious about their dinner but there’s no link to a site posted here on google. 🤷🏻♀️
I had an amazing dining experience at Canto Restaurant. The service was exceptional and the food was absolutely delicious. A special thank you to Kait, Jasmine and Larry making sure everything was handled with care. I’ will definitely be recommending Canto to friends and family and look forward to coming soon
Delicious food. As good and authentic as I’ve had in Puglia, Italy where the chef is from. Cool location at the Old Mill. Cozy atmosphere. Nice place for a celebration.
Really pretty spot. Risotto was delicious!
The meals here are excellent!
Fish and pasta dishes tasted FRESH and delicious!
I was fully satisfied by my meal at the Canto Restaurant. A great meal at a sensible price in the heart of Etobicoke. The gnocchi and risotto were both excellent. I will return to try other dishes.
Beautiful restaurant that we were hoping to love. Unfortunately the service was not attentive we had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks, and the mains arrived well before the sides. The food was lukewarm and quite bland, very disappointing given the cost. We really wanted to like this place, but that cannot be the case - not much more to it than the decor. This can all be fixed with attentive management and active listening to your clients.
We were excited to try Canto for Mother’s Day, since the chef is from the same region in Italy as my parents. Not only was the food outstanding, the service was impeccable. We are already looking forward to going back. Giving a 5-star rating doesn’t justify our amazing overall experience. I highly recommend Canto to anyone who wants to taste perfection!
Mother’s Day Prix Fixe. Wow, wow, wow! Hidden gem of a restaurant. More people in Etobicoke should know about this place…or not!
Food very tasty. Chef knows risotto, let me say. Fresh! Service attentive, and in one of the most beautiful rooms in the City.
Found an amazing spot for breakfast. Can’t wait to try their dinner.

The restaurant is stunning and the food and service were incredible. Can’t wait to go back.
I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. The best jazz musicians in the country have played here. This is one of the nice Toronto. I noticed that the place was renovated and now has a different name. There was also the grand piano lacking in the room when I asked about what happened to the live music. The server seemed to dodge the question.
There were two gentlemen looking after us in between the two of them they couldn’t seem to get our order straight. I have decided to just tell him I’m not gonna bother anything for the price they’re charging. I’m expecting a little bit better service. I can at least get the water straight and provide us with the menu which was a challenge for these two gentlemen. There is the dinner menu and a bar menu.
Sad to see iconic Jazz venue disappear just so that they can squeeze in a few extra tables.
I suppose I get that they want to maximize their revenue, especially in this economy, but it is sad to see that live jazz music was ripped out of this place to accommodate that. Live Jazz was a main component of this place.
I recently chose Canto to meet up with a good friend I hadn't seen for many years. The atmosphere was wonderfully cozy and private. More important was how we were hosted. We received such warm considerate service it really made the evening. Chef accommodated a special request meaning my guest was able to enjoy the evening that much more having fought through some serious health challenges. We are both so appreciative, thank you for being part of a special evening!
This restaurant has such a cozy and charming atmosphere! From the moment you walk in, you feel right at home. The warm lighting, beautifu decor, and comfortable seating make it an ideal place for a relaxed meal.
Very elegant service,
Compliments to chef Franco who took care of our table with the delicious meal and desserts. The team was professional, efficient, and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place 😍
