Insadong Korean Restaurant

What a pleasant surprise! This is a total gem! I happened to be around the area and Googled this Korean resto to be around the area.

This is a nice neighbourhood and with historic buildings nearby and modern and clean strip stores along the street.

Moment I walked in, it's lightly lit, modern & clean. Decent size, not too big, and not too small.

The server was courteous, friendly and really made me feel welcome. Started off with a kettle of hot tea, I also asked for a glass of iced water, she brought it.

The side dishes here were delish and I asked for refill for the bean sprouts, she refilled with no issue. She told me the side dishes are home made, no wonder it's different that the typical standard side dishes you seen at other resto.

I ordered the pork bone soup, I asked for medium spicy and it was on-point. Good portion of pork bone, good layer of pork meat with various vertebrae.

The ONLY minor thing I found the meat not as fall off the bone, it would be even better if the pork bones were boiled a little bit more so meat would be tender. Another drawback is their use of 1-time wood chopstix. I understand 1-time chopstix would reduced the amount of cutlery to be diswashed but when the pork bone meat doesn't fall off the bones, having take out wooden chopstix would be a struggle to get the meat off coz Korean metal chopstix are sturdier and stronger to pull meat off.

Otherwise, everything is great, it feels inviting to dine, food are authentic, I also like the secret dipping sauce for the pork bone soup. I don't see often other Korean restos offer a dipping sauce for pork bone soup. The staff said the dipping sauce is made with wasabi and other secret ingredients.

I will definitely come back to order more Korean dishes.

Seated promptly on a Thusday evening for dinner. We ordered the galbi tang, chicken katsu, and black bean noodles; oh, and the seafood pancake to share. Very satisfying. Pictures? Next time. :)

SO accommodating, the best service, and great food

We came here on Wednesday for lunch, and so glad we did! It was the best Korean food we've had in Etobicoke! I had the sizzling beef bulgogi. The beef and veggies and ingredients were all fresh, cooked to perfection, and bursting with flavour. Even the side the white rice was so soft and delicious. I'm normally not even a big rice person, but the way they prepared it was so good. The lady serving us was very friendly and helpful and the decor of the restaurant was very nice and homely. They also have parking in the back of the store. I will DEFINITELY be back and highly recommend Insadong if you're craving authentic and delicious Korean food.

Gamjatang & marinade pork are both great

This is a true korean restaurant (not in korean town) .
All other customers surrounded today speaking korean. 3 Girls crossed table only drink Soju.

I got purple rice with my soup and refilled side dish( fish cakes ) 3 times for free 😋.

This is definitely the korean restaurant to go at Etobicoke.

Great service. However took home the porkbone soup it was not great, lacked lots of flavour and seemed watered down. I have eaten many pork bone soup and this one was by far the worst and needs much improvement.

Today I tried this place and OH MY GOD! Friendliest and warmest faces along with delicious food!! I’m definitely coming back! Thanks to you guys I’m in love with Korean food.

The staff is very friendly and attentive. Each table order came with kimchi, potatoes, soup, hot water, and pickled radish strips (my favourite). We had the beef and eel Bibimbap, the eel was well cooked and the beef was tender.

We had such a great experience here! The food was absolutely delicious - we ordered hot pot and every ingredient was super fresh, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. But what truly made the meal memorable was the staff. Everyone was incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They checked in on us often, made sure we were comfortable, and added such a friendly vibe to the whole night. Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving amazing Korean food with even better hospitality! Will definitely be coming back.

My favourite Korean restaurant! The food is incredible, it’s authentic, flavorful and comes out within minutes after ordering. The family who runs it is exceptionally kind and welcoming, and the service is always top-notch. Highly recommend!
