Lovely place
The service was friendly. This is an older location, but feels warmer than the new ones. The iced coffee (too much water) and frappes (ice was blended to just water) we had were very watery, and felt like $13 wasted.

Here's a pic of the ice cream I bought at the foodland next door because these people wouldn't sell ice cream to a 5 and 8 year old with five minutes left before they closed.
If you have store hours, keep them.
But that's ok. I'm going to buy ice cream from the grocery store from now on instead of from here.
If they had cared, looked apologetic, maybe it would be forgiveable. But they could not have cared less. Even after the 5 year old burst into tears, because of course he thought he had done something wrong.
So disappointing.

I visited this café and really enjoyed its cozy outdoor seating area. I ordered a coffee and sat outside, appreciating the pleasant atmosphere. Later, I decided to have a bagel. The staff served it nicely on a plate, and I brought it to the same outdoor table that clearly belongs to the café.
A few minutes later, a young woman approached me and said that I was not allowed to take the plate outside — even though many other guests were sitting and eating at those same tables. I was surprised and disappointed by this situation.
I would like to ask the management how they expect customers to eat their desserts or bagels without a plate. It felt upsetting and unfair — I even felt discriminated against.
I hope the management can review this policy so that future guests can fully enjoy their experience.
Java Joe’s on Islington has become one of my go-to spots for both terrific food and consistently great coffee. The menu has plenty of options—whether it’s a hearty breakfast sandwich, a fresh panini, or a sweet pastry to go with your latte, everything is made with care and tastes fantastic.
The owners and staff are incredibly kind, welcoming, and always make you feel like part of the community the moment you walk in.

Absolutely horrible service we ordered a coffee to go and it was burnt we went back and I asked if they could remake it the owner fought with me and was completely unreasonable even the barista felt bad telling me she could not help because she was just an employee we ordered a large he would only remake a small size would never go again you should not go as well

Great spot for a morning cuppa. Good breakfast sandwiches. The juice and iced coffee were great. We went at around 11 am and the place got busy. Lots of parking and very helpful staff. I recommend this coffee shop.

I got a milkshake. It was okay. Nothing special. They made it and brought it to our table. Nice place otherwise. It's quite busy.
