My husband and I popped in to John’s Fish and Chips last night and were blown away by the service, atmosphere, and food. The fish and chips is the closest I’ve had to the one I tried in P.E.I and the calamari was perfection! The best part about our night was chatting with the owner, who was warm, kind, and inviting. We’ll definitely be back!

Excellent food. My husband and I shared the haddock and halibut & they were both incredible! Also, this is a family owned business & the Greek owners were beyond hospitable. They told us the branzino is flown fresh from Greece (on ice, not frozen). We will have to try it next time.
Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

High recommend this amazing restaurant!! I have tried just about every lobster roll out there and this place has the best in Toronto i am serious. A proper serving of lobster, tossed in a perfect sauce on a warm buttery toasted bun. They serve an amazing fish and chips with multiple fish options and style (can have it grilled too) and other seafood. Everything was super fresh, friendly family owned establishment will be back. Never going anywhere else for fish and chips again!

My daughter and i visited John's for the first time last week. We tried the homemade tzatziki appetizer, the battered haddock a bowl of fava bean soup, and funnel cake fries! From the service, the smiles, the atmosphere and the delicious food, its no surprise John's has such a high rating! An Etobicoke secret that wont be a secret much longer! Thank you, we'll be back soon.

Best fish and chips in the city! Hands down! I’ve tried all the big hitter fish and chips joints in the city and this one is the best by far. Service was great and I dined in with my daughter. They were really nice to her and made us feel super comfortable. Nice family run spot that I would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience. Been all over the west end to many other spots. Halibut, coleslaw and Greek salad best I’ve ever had. You can tell they take great pride in what they do. Service was great, very clean establishment.

This place is amazing. I had battered halibut and it tasted really good. The service and atmosphere are excellent. I will come back to try their lobster roll and Moroccan octopus. Thank you for accommodating us as we arrived late but you made sure that we felt comfortable and allowed us to stay after hours to enjoy our dinner. Rice pudding was excellent top. Thanks.

Sorry that's not my concern If this review disturbed you, and giving out the pricing you pay for your supplier means little to the customer. I don't believe the portions are as big as you claim. The octopus for $32 is unbelievably tiny and you overpay for what you get absolutely. Also the truffle fries have a little to no seasoning at all. Not flavorful and very dry. Telling me the price you pay once again means absolutely nothing to the customer and the value that the customer gets.
Tula was in my grade 2 Mrs. Barefoot class at Islington public school. Why on earth would I call you to tell you that I did not enjoy what I had and the value was not worth it? I used to come here when I was a kid almost every week at one point.... to be quite frank, I don't really care what your system shows you. I have ordered from your establishment at least four times using Uber in the past five or six years, and I have come by once or twice for pick up.
I've been coming to this place ever since I was a kid. In fact, one of the daughters of the owner used to be in my grade school class. It really pains me to write this, but this place is not Of good value based on what you actually get. Delicious halibut and delicious batter… but very small portions and the fries are dry. On Uber eats I paid $16 for dry truffle fries with very little flavoring… And $32 for a half of a serving portion of octopus for any Greek taverna. Not worth the price. All in all the experience at this place charges you too much. Not worth the value.

Great fish, not too oily, tasty. The lobster roll is not something I'd get. I did try it about 20 minutes after getting it but the roll was soggy and its missing that buttery richness that I like from lobster rolls. It's pricey but its proper fish and chips.

A little bit disingenuous and possibly unethical, as the owner has raised prices by a few dollars and charges you for the higher prices that are not listed on the posted menu. Surprisingly small portion of french fries and small salad beside the fish.
