The audacity to charge $14 for a sad sandwich that looks like this—a thin layer of salami and mere slivers of a pickle and brie. It’s honestly offensive. Was really looking forward to a nice lunch and a local spot and was disappointed by what I got. The baristas were kind and apologetic when I showed them and asked how they can help but all I wanted was a good sandwich in that moment (worth the money I paid).
I am a regular at Cafe Rouge. It's a clean and cozy place in a nice neighborhood close to the subway. The coffee is OK and the food is delicious! Be sure to try their danishes, croissants and quiches. The staff is friendly, but the service is sometimes lacking. I had to remind them to get my quiche out of the microwave more than once. After the renovation, the place looks great, but the new little metal chairs are really uncomfortable and not suitable for big people. Overall,...
