Appetizers were extremely overpriced for very small portions. Mains were pretty decent and fairly priced, but they took like 45mins-1 hour to finally come out. Staff was very nice though. Overall kind of a disappointing experience was expecting more.
We visited this place for our anniversary

First time dining here. Food was fantastic. My friend and I both agreed that the scallops were the best we ever had. The staff was wonderful, including the Chef who checked in on us a few times throughout the evening. We tried 7 different Tapas and 1 main. Overall the quality was great but 1 or 2 were overpriced for the quantity served. Beyond that, no complaints. Will definately be back.
Lavinia is outstanding, exceptionally 100% Madrileño. The atmosphere feels truly authentic Spain, with incredible tapas, chorizo, mussels, paella, and the perfect cortado. The chef's craftsmanship, shaped the prestigious Lausanne Cooking Academy in Switzerland, shines through every dish. It's impossible to beat for a real Torrontero experience. Highly recommend!
The food was amazing! We had several tapas dishes, salad and the paella and we loved them all!

Nice staf
We enjoyed a lovely and exquisite dinner at La Vinia. We have loved the excellent quality and service for many years. Ingredients are fresh and the flavor of every single dish is unique and excellent. They always have maintained the quality and especially, the friendly and excellent service. It is like being at home in this Spanish corner in Toronto.
Recommended dishes: Paella De Mariscos, Pulpo a La Gallega - Poached Octopus Marinated in Olive Oil and Paprika, Seafood Paella, Paella Valenciana, Almejas - Spanish Chorizo Sautéed with Clams and White Beans, Arroz Negro
Couldn't be better. The service is perfectly timed and considerate. The food is the best in Toronto, period. I believe there is nobody that can do seafood better. The tapas is unbelievably good and fresh.
A Hidden Gem with Heart and Flavor
I've visited LaVinia Restaurant more than 10 times since my first visit in 2015, and every experience has been truly special. This family-run gem has become a favorite spot for me, my friends, and even my coworkers. We've celebrated many birthdays here, and each time, the warm atmosphere and exceptional food have made the occasion unforgettable.
What makes LaVinia stand out is the personal touch. A couple of times, the chef was so kind that he prepared dishes for us that weren’t even on the menu - just to make the experience extra special. The hospitality from the chef and his son is always heartfelt, and every guest I've brought has been impressed by the delicious food and welcoming service.
We also miss the wine Protos Gran Reserva - please bring it back!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic cuisine, a cozy atmosphere, and genuine hospitality.

This place is a small family run restaurant that has amazing food and wine selections. We were there as a couple for our anniversary and stuck to the Tapas menus. All of the dishes were spectacular. Each dish was at an appropriate temperature, the aiming of the food was perfect. We were not rushed or felt pressured to finish what we had before the next tapas appeared. We would definitely recommend this place for all sorts of occasions. There were pre-world series fans, couples, friends, etc. The host/waiter was hilarious and made a great wine selection for us. They import their own wine so you’re definitely in for a treat. We were so impressed that we are going to take the extended family there for a group B’Day party!!

You cannot go wrong by going here. This is a great little family run restaurant where they know their food and how to treat their patrons. We were there for our anniversary dinner. Nice quiet little tapas dinner. The food is spectacular and the wine (something they have imported themselves) was phenomenal and not over priced. We only did tapas because that was why we wanted to try this place out. Each and every one that we picked was beautifully plated, temperature appropriate and tasted amazing. The host/waiter was hilarious and recommended the bottle of wine that would go with our tapas and we were not disappointed by his selection. I can't say enough about this place other than you need to try it out.
My husband and I keep coming back to LaVinia because the food! We have traveled in many places in Spain and LaVinia is truly our go to when we are home!
