We dropped by last minute last night and ordered the Halibut and Chips with a side of Cole slaw. The lady who took and prepared our order was awesome. Authentic and tasty ! We will return. Please support our local Lake Shore small businesses. ?

Very nice little shop in lake sure area!!! I took one of my friend who were visiting from USA to drive around Lakeshore area . Fish was cooked nicely and was alot . Also owner who cooked food was nice !! All customer who are giving negative review pls be patient it's was hard time for restaurant industry and things are getting back slowly.

Worst halibut I have ever tried. Took one bite and threw it away. It was overcooked and did not taste like any halibut I have had before. Also, had a really bad smell and the fries looked like they had been re cooked more than 3 times...Love fish and chips and this was a big disappointment!

Trying to support local businesses and our usual spot John’s Fish and Chips was closed. So we gave this place a try, what a disappointment where do I start - the batter on the fish was so thick and greasy it was hard to get at the fish! The calamari was even more of a disappointment-very thick batter, and clearly frozen rubbery calamari well past its prime. Even the tartar sauce tasted like it was from a bottle-a bad one at that. I only ate a little as it was so unappetizing and tasted so bad and was still ill all night. Thumbs down - way down for this place!!

We usually go to New Toronto Fish & Chips but decided to give this place a try as it is closer to our home and was ok in the past. Terrible experience this time - instead of 1 whole piece of halibut we were given 7 tiny pieces to make up for 1 whole piece like you get at every other Fish & Chip place. Chewy fish and greasy fries. In Store pricing did not reflect what was on their website but was more expensive by $3-4 dollars - when I went to pick-up and I was told that the website "had not been updated". Seems that they practice these types of pricing variations regularly as I found out that they significantly increased their pricing for the Easter Holiday. New owners are definitely looking to cut corners and make more money by offering a sub-standard expensive product. AVOID - there are much better places.

I wasn't sure what to think because some reviews were mixed, but we went for it and YUM! I'm so glad we did! The breading was light on the inside and very crispy on the outside, the halibut was flaky, and the fries were done TO. PERFECTION. (I mean, my version of perfection, which is, how you say, rural chip truck standard). Highly recommend!! My only complaint was, after we hoofed it home, the food cooled off and we had to reheat it in the oven. Eat it right away if you can!

Use to love going here, not so much anymore,the place sells all kinds of stuff now, folding electric bikes,books,assorted junk, looks like a dollar store inside now.Went on good Friday, regular price for halibut and chips is $15.95, the easter special is $17.95,nice price gouging here. Try and support local and they burn the community,nice eh!They also sold me cod instead of halibut, fishiest tasting halibut I have ever had.Do yourself a favor and dont spend your money here!

Portions were good, but you don't want it!Over a hundred spent and less than 5 pieces of really greasy fish. The rest of the order was augmented by way too many greasy fries that we didn't finish and threw out. Horrible potatoes for the fries, to boot. All 3 of us felt ill for days after all of the grease.Poor flavour. Stingy on the fish. Very bad value!!!

I cannot begin to describe how shocking my experience was at longbranch fish and chips.Admittedly, I went in with zero expectations, the place doesn't reach out and grab you, in fact it doesn't look like much at all.I've eaten at some of the world's best restaurants. I've eaten at the world's actual best restaurant. I've been around the world and spared little expense finding the best culinary experiences for me and my family. I'm not saying this to brag, I say this only to provide context.Longbranch fish and chips just gave me one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had.They do fish and chips. That's about it, not much else on the menu. That's not a detractor....they know their business and they are exemplary at it.We ordered three haddock and chips. The portions were enormous. The fish was almost perfect....the fries were the kind that make you remember back to the time as a young child you first discovered these fried tidbits of majesty!We got the gravy. Nothing fancy....but it's not supposed to be, just perfect for what it needed to be. Highly recommended.The best part....the very best part...this all came to only $23 and change. How they serve food this good with portions that big in these crazy times....I just don't understand.What I do understand is that I'll be back. I'll make excuses to be back. I'll skip meals to be back. I'll work late and tell the wife and kids there's no time to cook...so I'll be back.I highly, highly, super duper highly recommend to all you folks who are sick of paying too much for too little with no taste, give these guys a shot. I doubt you will disagree!!!
So many options to choose from and very affordable all day and lunch specials.The fish is decent size for the price you pay and very tasty as well.Definitely my go to place in the area.

The cook (I assume owner) was very polite. I ordered the halibut lunch special and it was delicious. He checked on me after a few minutes of my food arriving which was unexpected and professional. When I was almost done he brought over a freshly made sample of tartar sauce and asked my opinion of it and if I would change anything. Very impressed!

Tried their All day special with my family. Not only the food tastes amazing, but they have great selection of menu to choose from.I especially loved the onion rings. Would definitely recommend checking this place out for their great deals and food.I will be going with my family again.

very very disappointing it was a mouthful of old tasting oil... like rancid...the fries were heavy full of oil inside, like if they were cooked the day before then re fried... i honestly don't know how can other reviews can say " it was light and crispy " what I got was non of that , just disgusting I ate the inside of the fish and left the fries and that was just because I was way too hungry, just a complete waste of food and money, for the 15 dollars that I payed I would have gotten a huge double meat subway or a delicious " heroes burger" from around the corner... im never making the same mistake just never again
