Makimono Sushi Bar Restaurant

I went Makimono by accident and it was one of best mistakes I’ve made in my love for sushi. I went during a busy time and the welcoming was a little short but that was it negative wise. They aren’t your typical sushi place, often when I go to sushi restaurants I feel rushed to finish my food and get out because all my food comes out pretty close together, here that was the opposite dishes came spaced apart and I wasn’t overwhelmed by the food. The pieces of fish you receive are thick and fresh, I’ve been places where there’s no freshness to the fish and the slices are thin.
Thank you makimono! Next time I’m town and carving sushi I’ll stop by!

The food is good. The dinner menu is much better than the lunch. However the rolls are way too big. I felt like I was going to choke.

NOT just another airport strip resturant ,this was truely some of the best rolls I've had in quite awhile.

Such a good sushi experience! Bryan and Komal were so amazing amongst all of the wonderful staff!

They really paid attention to the details! My sashimi was so fresh it came out in ice and was very thick! They had things I never heard of before.

I also like that you could get single sushi, and they were mindful of not bombarding you with sushi. It didn’t all come out at once made it feel very intentional and not overwhelming.

Polite staff members yet zero food hygiene. I had to return my dishes twice one as there was hair laying on the food. The sushi chef does not have any idea about food preparation. The avocado and salmon sushi had raw avocado in it. They definitely need to reconsider their overall service. Two large food plates returned yet they had the audacity to charge me in full with an amazing discount of $6. I do not recommend this place

Didn’t expect the best out of this place but was actually worse than expected… Food wasn’t fresh, specially the sashimi. The cleanliness made me want to leave before ordering! If the restaurant and bathrooms are this dirty I can only imagine the kitchen…! I do not recommend this place!!!

Great spot for ayce sushi on the west end. Very spacious and clean with a modern aesthetic. I enjoyed the variety they have to offer from sushi to dim sum and other Asian foods. The service was great, our server Ryan was particularly helpful and very friendly. I’ll definitely be back!
