Best fish and chips in town hands down. Been coming here since I was a kid, I'm 36 now and it's still probably one of my top 5 places to eat of all time.

I called the restaurant to ask if the fish they serve is wild caught or farm raised. He had no clue. How do you not know where your product is coming from ?

The food is really good, consistent, simple, and not fussy.Proper fish and chips. The fish never tastes off or fishy, just clean and tasty, and also moist. Chips are straight fresh fried potatoes about half a cm in thickness. If you're going to introduce any perso or kids to fish, this is what you give them. The atmosphere is diner/chippy so no frills, but about what you expect. You don't go for the atmosphere, you go for the food.My in laws introduced me to this place and have been going there for over 40 years or more, and we get take out when my MIL asks for it. Nowhere else in north Etobicoke is acceptable to her.

Excellent Halibut & chips. Nice crispy batter and golden fries. The quality of food and price outperforms other local fish/chips restaurants. Friendly staff.

Our first experience at dining in was a nice place very small but still very good. It’s nothing flamboyant or exotic but just a nice little restaurant, the fish and chips are amazing and well priced highly recommend this little mom and pop shop. talk to the cook waitress and was shocked that they’ve been in business for the past 60 years got to be doing something right. Our building gets the Fish And Chips done by this place and they’ve always been good. We live in a seniors residence and they supply us with all our Fish And Chips and I am talking 60 orders. Highly highly recommended this place. ?????

Food Quality: 3/10Martin Grove Fish and Chips left me thoroughly unimpressed with their offerings. Despite ordering what should have been a delightful meal - halibut fish and chips, shrimp, a small gravy, and ample tartar sauce - the taste fell disappointingly flat. The halibut, though ostensibly fresh, lacked flavor and possessed an oddly spongy texture, indicating a flaw in their breading process. The shrimp, priced at a premium, arrived overcooked, burnt, and devoid of any discernible taste, resembling subpar frozen alternatives. The onion rings, while of a decent thickness, were surprisingly bland, lacking the expected seasoning to elevate their flavor. The gravy, on the other hand, was not just overpowering but seemed haphazardly mixed, resulting in an unappetizing experience. Even the tartar sauce, served in lackluster packets, failed to enhance the meal, being overly sweet and out of balance with the fish.Portions and Value: 4/10Considering the steep prices, the portions offered were far from satisfactory. While the serving size of the onion rings was relatively generous, other items, especially the shrimp, were notably meager, leaving much to be desired in terms of value for money.Service and Atmosphere: 2/10The disappointment extended beyond the food, encompassing the service and overall ambiance of the place. The staff's demeanor was markedly inconsistent, exhibiting politeness towards some patrons while displaying inexplicable rudeness towards others, including myself. My simple request for additional tartar sauce was met with a derisive scoff and an indifferent attitude, reflecting a lack of professionalism. The general atmosphere within the establishment was far from inviting, lacking the warmth and ambiance one expects in a dining setting. In summary, my experience at Martin Grove Fish and Chips was far from satisfactory. The underwhelming food quality, coupled with inadequate portions and unprofessional service, makes it a dining establishment I cannot recommend. For those seeking a delightful fish and chips experience, there are undoubtedly superior options available elsewhere.
