McNie's Fish & Chips

I usually go to another fish and chips place on the Queensway and I was very reluctant about trying somewhere new (the other place was closed Mondays). To my surprise the fish and chips here was very good! The orders are huge and the lady that was working was very very kind. I’d reccomend the half order of halibut and chips or shrimp and chips. The coleslaw is nice and creamy, the gravy and tartar sauce was spot on however I wasn’t crazy about the calamari. Overall very good, I’d definetly be back!

Don't bother. Waste of money. Go to Martingrove fish and chips

Food was excellent, staff makes you feel like family, to the point where if I could have given them all hugs, I would have. Everything was clean and if I ever am able to make it back into the area, I will come again. No, this isn't the kind of place for Michelin stars, this is the type of place where you can take your family and friends out and just have a good and relaxing meal. If you don't want to go out, the take out menu looks like it would be awesome as well.

I won't say when I came in, as I don't want to have any unnecessary attention. This restaurant deserves it way more. It isn't about me. It is about a restaurant that deserves to be higher ranked. Especially because of the staff.

The best fish and chips in the area, at a fair price. The owners and/or employees are always super nice. Dining room is a bit dated, but is clean and offers a pleasant atmosphere.

They are terribly slow instead of working they just stand and talk. I was the only customer and they served me for half an hour

Really good traditional fish and chips place. Fish has a nice light batter and fries are good. Served very fresh and hot. Not a big place so can be busy at peak lunch and dinner times.

Seemed like one of those hidden gems. Quiet plaza, weird parking but good amount. Best fish and chips I've had in the GTA. Not greasy. Seemed like freshly made batter. Crispy. Great thick real chips. Good price too. Service was ok. Felt bad that it was just the one lady serving everyone. Maybe if they were busier they could hire more staff to help her. She was nice and quick. They had really good Coleslaw too.

I ordered 3 orders of fish and chips, gravy and coleslaw. The price was outrageous.... $86.00. The chips were hard as rocks and the batter on the fish was horrible. I would not recommend this establishment. Find somewhere else!

Great little fish and chips place, staff is friendly, food is great.. always a good place for meal
Still great food sucks when you go to order and it tells you they are closed 40 mins before they close and google still says open..that's twice now!

The fish was excellent. Unfortunately with tip a couple pops, two halibut and some fries cleared 80 bucks.

The fries were ok, but at this price point I expect fresh cut. The fries where a let down which is a bit surprising at this price point.

I don't expect much, but at a lower price I can get better fries at 5 Guys burgers.

Improve your fries and this super high price will feel a bit more worth it. Everything else was great.
