A one man operation with amazing authentic food, the owner is great and gives attention to everyone individually, the menu is small and new options can be found on different days.
Visited during posted opening hours and it appears to be closed. They did not answer the phone either
The ramen is uniquely delicious!
But you need to be patient, like 1-1.5 hours wait patience 😂
We waited 2 hours more for the food. For the price, it is a big bowl of ramen. The broth is very special. I wanted a cup of water but there is none. I think the only thing to complain is the soggy noodle, apart from the wait time, of course.
Best ramen in Toronto, very nice and friendly place!!
Nobuya is one of my favorite restaurants in the city, run by one insanely talented and charismatic dude named Nobu, who feels like an old friend, and (impressively) remembers how long its been since you last came. You'll have to be patient for your food to come (again, this place is ONE guy!) but it is SO well worth it, especially with a selection of Japanese sodas and appetizers like his heavenly takoyaki (melt-in-your-mouth octopus balls) while you wait. He has the best okonomiyaki I've ever tasted and his ramen is also legendary for good reason. Pure joy. I've been a loyal fan for 5 years now and Nobu never misses!
Had an amazing dinner at Nobuya. Ordered the chicken karaage, takoyaki, spicy miso ramen and tonkatsu ramen - all extremely delicious!!!
Come for the food and warm ambiance. Feels like you’re having dinner at a friend’s house in Japan. It’s incredible that the owner does everything as a one man show. Will be back!
The best experience all around. Authentic Japanese cuisine and original receipts from the owner of the place. Immaculate atmosphere.
This place had the best ramen! Must go when in Toronto and the owner was so accommodating. Thank you!
Great experience with the owner of the shop. He was very outgoing and was able to adjust the menu to my dietary restrictions. Takoyaki and ramen were very delicious.
A well earned 5 stars. Worth the 20% tip

Extremely bad service, he forced us to pay 20% tip, owner tried to abuse us, please don’t go here guys
Found this place after being near the waterfront and looked for a nearby place with good reviews. When arriving the owner was very passionate about his store. After sitting he did not present a menu and I did not know what the prices would be. Went for the chicken as the starter and spicy ramen as a main for each person. There was only one other group of 2 in the restaurant at the time which were already served and it took 25 minutes to get the starter and an hour for the ramen to arrive. Wait time was extremely long considering it was not busy as well. Chicken was good but the ramen was very salty, pork pieces were dry and noodles were average that you could find anywhere. When paying it was a shock to find out a bill for 1 app and 2 ramen bowls and 2 waters was $80! This is insanely priced and I’ve found much better ramen for cheaper. I felt obligated to tip (which I did on top of the 80) but felt as though I’ve already been robbed. The owner was very pushy when trying to leave asking 5 times if the food was good, did we want take out containers, how it compared with others and shaming us to say that everyone always finishes the broth when we didn’t. Keep in mind we both finished our bottles of water because it was so salty and couldn’t take it anymore. Was given a ramen packet when leaving and was told if I left a review on the spot he will give another. Keep your $2 ramen packet it is not fair for me to mislead others about this place.
In summary: prices are absolutely ridiculous, food is below average and the owner does not running the restaurant with similar care to other places. I will not be returning and am extremely upset about the bill I had to pay here. Came because of the good reviews and after going I cannot believe the reviews are so high…
Intensely pressures you to order an appetizer and if you don't tip 15% he will come after you and won't let you leave until you do
The food is so delicious, and the portions are huge! The serving time is about an hour, but it’s totally worth it. Worth the wait 💯. Will definitely dine again and try the karaage.
Authentic quality Japanese food! Gyoza, Fried chicken and Ramen were amazing.
