I was very disappointed with the taste of the food at the Old Mill Easter brunch buffet. Perhaps lack of taste is a better description. Dishes were flat as if they never heard of adding any kind of spice while cooking. Looking around at the clientele, perhaps that is what they want but not what I was looking for. The best dishes were the mushroom ravioli and the curried oxtail, still subdued in flavour but better than all other dishes.Desserts were hit or miss. Pancotta and chocolate mousse were highlights. Saw many people enjoy the chocolate fountain.Although I dont recommend going. If you do go, try to get a seat in one of the smaller rooms (see pics) as it is a more pleasant dining experience. As for the price. I went on Saturday which is $60 per person compared to $75 on the Sunday. Can you eat your moneys worth? Not likely. The experience, food, atmosphere, is not worth the cost.

The 2h limit is a bit short, considering how big and nice is the buffet. Also, the need to underline to the group that the time limit started from the moment we booked and not from the moment we sat down (10 min after we were supposed to) wasn't super elegant... For the price I would expect better conditions. Food is really good and the people bringing coffee, tea and water are really nice.

It isn't what it used to be. We've been coming here a couple of times a year for weekend brunch for 35 years whenever we're in Toronto. This is the first time we were disappointed. Food selection wasn't as plentiful and some of what was there didn't have the quality as before. Even the signature crepes were missing on a Saturday when last time we went on a Sunday and were told crepes were only being served on Saturdays. Ham cut from the shank was delicious. Out of 3 servers one who wasn't even in our section was always helpful but the 2 servers in our section were often no where to be found.

A splendid evening with great friends we could actually hear in conversation. The food was delicious and beautifully presented and served. The ambiance was elegant but not overly formal which made it relaxing bur also felt like a special occasion. We love The Old Mill Restaurant, it's our favourite place! Well done!!!

Enchanting and full of history, this place is a must go if you seek great food and great service but above all, an atmosphere of tradicion and timeless value. Our food was delicious and the service superb.

We went to see "Pauly and the Goodfellas" show. They were very funny and got the crowd going. There were songs ? that we sang with them...it was very interactive. I would definitely see ? them again. I would definitely recommend attending the "Dinner and Dancing Series". I always sign up for Tier 1... cost is $30 per person but your seated close to the stage with a guaranteed unobstructed view of the band. Their are also 2 other tiers... Tier 2 is $25.00, and Tier 3 is $20.00. Apart from paying for the show you have to spend a minimum of $30.00 per person whether you eat or drink. As I have said before, there are no words to describe how beautiful ? the Old Mill is. There is a lot of variety in the menu. The food is always scrumptious. We had the pasta dish and the chef was very accommodating in substituting the Gemelli for Linguini. It was very much appreciated. My only one minor criticism is that I let them know we were celebrating my Birthday ? and I would have thought that they would not charge me the desert as some places provide you a free desert.

Beautiful spot for dining. Great entertainment and dance floor. Dance floor does leave the soles of your shoes black. Gnocchi should not be a stand alone entree, was more like an appetizer than an entree. Pricy for sure.

Entertainment was disappointing, singing was out of tune many times, food prices were high and I do not like been embarrassed into giving min 15% tip, the service did not deserve it, also we were 2 separate couples and the server took it on herself to put all charges on one bill, it is up to the server to ask separate or one bill , Not Me, not a evening to laud about with friends, Rory Mahon, we will carefully think about recommending the old mill to friends, we have attended dinner dancing in the past but this time was not enjoyable

Knocking off a star as I was disappointed with the service, specifically at the brunch buffet. I reserved a table for a group of us as we were celebrating several birthdays and I had called previously to ask for a candle coming out with a dessert plate for each of them. Even though I had specifically asked them to note this in the reservation, staff seemed confused and were not subtle when I wanted it to be a surprise. They told me to select a few desserts and bring it to them so they could plate it, so I did but our server was nowhere to be found and I had to ask several other servers while walking around with a dessert plate trying to still maintain the surprise. Once I managed to get it to one of them, the plates took a while to come back out. I brought the plate early knowing it might take a while and still ended up waiting to the point where we were all already done eating and it was awkward. The candle and plate was still nice, and the food selection obviously was great, but don't come here for the service. Spent a good chunk of money too!

My wife and I were there to attend a Friday Jazz night and everything was fantastic. Our seating was very nice... we could both see the stage and our vies was unobstructed. The menu choices were delicious, I had a linguine with Lobster and it was prepared very nicely. We shared a bottle of the 'house' chardonnay which was a good value and we always enjoy local wines ...we had a bottle from Peller vineyards in Niagara on the Lake. The concert was fantastic . We heard Hilario Duran trio . The entire evening was truly a special one for us!
