We had a great time with friends eating here with incredible views of the racetrack as well as a screen at our table.
The staff is always extremely nice and they all seem to be friendly with each other as well which makes for a very pleasant day. Servers were very attentive.

An amazing restaurant and race day experience! Great good, amazing service, betting available right near the tables, beautiful view of the entire track, outside tables for a closer experience!

Our group was celebrating a birthday on August 25,2024 party of 11 with a reservation booked and request for happy birthday board .

The booking would not accommodate a disability issue
The service was terrible both slow and unfriendly
I do not
Mind paying the mandatory 18 percent tip but I do mind terrible terrible customer service.
I am sorry to share this experience as my family and I have been attending the woodbine clubhouse for over 40 years !

A great spot for good eats and entertainment. Went with a group of five and had a great time. Service is excellent! And the atmosphere is booming.

The food was great. We enjoyed a few apps and some mains. The steak was cooked perfectly, the curry was delicious and the other mains were also divine. The arancini balls were my favorite of the apps.

Note: Not as many gluten free options, and they are not able to accommodate other meals.

Dietary restrictions: I am gluten free and they had minimal options.

Had a fantastic first time betting on horses along with incredible food, quick and helpful staff for deciding on dishes along with assistance on how to get started with betting!

Parking: Easy to find a spot, as there are plenty. Finding the parking lot for Woodbine and not the casino however can be challenging!

If there was a zero star option, I would rate this place zero.

Made a reservation via open table for a group of 6/7, and requested to be by the window. On the day, we were a party of 6 and the Usher/Host placed us on two (2) different tables. We were celebrating retirement and birthday, so imagine doing that at 2 different tables and having an experience with 2 or 3 instead of a party of 6. Having our group on separate tables, ruined the whole experience. We came in early when numerous tables were still available including a table behind us who came at the same time and was at table of 6 but had a party of 4. The host was insisting that NOTHING could be done. I argued with the host because #1 I used to work there not long ago in Marketing and I know that we can move/accommodate tables and #2 my dad worked there for over 15 years and retired as an employee and that experience was not what we’ve envisioned or know about Woodbine. I requested to talk to the host’s manager who never came nor did she ever follow up on it and just swept it under the rug.

The food was terrible. For its price, there were no appetizers. Three (3) of my guests ordered the lobster pasta and they requested bread on the side to which our server just said “no”, like plain no, with no explanation as to why we couldn’t get a piece of bread. Sparkling water only comes in a can (like really? Is this a fast food or a sit-down restaurant for a sport that’s meant for kings?). I ordered the rib eye and it came VERY dry. Medium rare was close to medium well and the quality of the beef for its price was extremely chewy (are they serving horses in this joint?). The dessert menu had a variety of coffee but our server said none of them were available, she said that she could only serve us brewed coffee which tasted like Woodbine’s mother packers’ coffee.

The customer service reached out to our table but didn’t reach out to our other table to teach us how to bet. It was so disappointing, why would you skip tables, it makes total nonsense. The customer service gave us a tour of the facility, which was nice but there was no enthusiasm from her, let alone educate us on what’s around, how to bet, and how to work on the kiosk. Everything around this place was the bare minimum. Nobody decided to work on that day. The whole experience was a disaster. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone else.

While we had a great time on Sunday, we were disappointed that the server did not make enough effort to make our day better, as it was my girlfriends' birthday. I mentioned her birthday upon my booking, and also let me server know several times. I have been a patron of Woodbine and Greenwood and Mohawk for over 50 years. My introduction was through Ed Bradley (hall of fame builder) and our next-door neighbor. Most places would have served us a complimentary piece of cake with a candle. Very disappointed for my girl, as this was her first time there. Would appreciate a response to this email.

Overall it was good. Our server seemed to have a bit of an attitude , made a point of telling us there was a$40 minimum per person(which we knew) $250+ later. Not why he was so worried

Food and service were Good. The restaurant in not wheelchair accessible which would allow those in wheelchairs the ability to go a window seat. I think the comment was “he would be a liability”. This is a humans right issue. Shame.

we have not been to Woodbine since 2019. It has been renovated and while it is lovely the old set up had a better vibe and we preferred the buffet. It is more clubby now and less open which had more energy and fun. Different but not better for us. Our waitress was lovely and the food was great.

We decided to go to this dining room for lunch, and spend the afternoon betting on the horses. We had a really good afternoon. The food was good and the service was good. I would definitely go back.

Servers are especially friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The persons involved with assisting new people to racing are very helpful and patient, ie the circulating person and person at betting desk are very helpful, patient and friendly.

Disappointed

We found that the food choice wasn't great and the quality of the food for the price just wasn't there. It's been a while since we've been there and we wouldn't go back for lunch or dinner. We had remembered the food as good, even though it was a buffet. This time it wasn't a buffet and the food wasn't great.

A fun day Our last day for the season, and we had our favourite server Mike who catered to our needs and made our day a most enjoyable one. Looking forward to next season. We tried the turkey dinner and it was excellent.

Magical night we will always remember as a break from the daily pressures of life. Food was awesome, staff were attentive, accommodating and more than pleasant. We will be back next year.
