Rita’s kitchen owner please my humble question, aside that fair tall lady with pimples , can’t you get anyone to cook or serve customers…. Because she is making you loose customers each and every day.. and I guess so many complaints has been done and you people are still keeping her.
I complained to her last week Friday with regards to a food she served us being soo spicy and her response to my complaint was rude as if I don’t know what I’m saying.. I was pissed with her response but my partner ask me to ignore it because that’s her character… We just went there to buy because of the comments I gave over her last time, she told me they don’t have that food… whilst leaving your shop, I heard the woman with shaved her asking her why she didn’t sell the food and she told her she wouldn’t sell it because I passed a comment… I’m at golden gate now eating and I’m gonna make sure my friends don’t come there to eat too , if we are always gonna be met with rudeness for buying food from your shop… thank you
Great Ghanaian dishes here

Food is absolutely delicious, and value for money. But should put effort into making the place and ambience better for those who want to sit there and enjoy their food

Cool place
Very poor customer service. Can’t recommend this place to anyone. Ghanaian business needs to wake up. Is like you begging them to sell to you.
If I could give zero stars, i would have. This is by far the worst Ghanaian restaurant in terms of customer service. The way that fair woman at the reception shouted at me when I was telling her I want extra Diehuo.we are trying to support your business but if that fair woman at the reception doesn’t learn how to approach customers.people are not going to come there patronize your business again.Today was my first time and see how she treated me.Poor customer service 👎👎👎
Bad customer service and a very rude lady serving 9/2/25 evening .
The owner of this restaurant really needs to listen to customer complaints and do something about it. The customer service is absolutely awful. I am literally in the restaurant right now and I am being stared at with dirty looks by this particular lady who is fair skin with pimples. She has a disgusting attitude and her body language alone is enough to not want buy anything. She does this every time I go there. I’ve had similar complaints from friends who refuse to spend their money in their restaurant because of this unusual behaviour. I want to support Ghanaian businesses so bad but What is going on???

Where do I start with this. I came here yesterday to get lunch for my dad and I. I preordered it and it took me roughly 30 minutes to get to the restaurant. I ordered 1 jollof with chicken for my dad and 1 Waakye with beef for myself. When I got to the restaurant it wasn’t ready - after preordering it 30 minutes ahead also I had to wait 15+ minutes with only 2 people in line ahead of me, and when it came to my turn she just started making my order as if I didn’t call ahead. The Waakye comes with 1/4 of a fish a boiled egg and beef, I told her instead of fish please substitute it for beef. She gave me 2 pieces of beef in total. I was confused and she clarified you only get 1 piece of beef and 1 fish with your order. A whole carton of rice and spaghetti and they only give 1 piece of beef? And this meal is $17?. If you want more than 1 piece of beef you need to pay $5 - then they will give you 1 more piece. I was shocked. I asked isn’t the jollof and Waakye supposed to come with salad ? She said the salad isn’t prepared yet … it was 2 o’clock in the afternoon. This restaurant is a complete rip off. Imagine going to a different culture restaurant like a Jamaican one and ordering curry goat or stew beef and they give you ONE piece of curry goat or ONE piece of stew beef to eat with a whole carton of rice. The restaurant is extremely hot with no AC inside, they have those $5 foldable chairs and tables that you get from Walmart. They just got a debit machine in 2024. Also the staff is extremely slow and rude. Overall it was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE I would not suggest anyone eat here, this explains why the restaurant hasn’t evolved.

I hate to write a bad review but honesty is the best policy. Poor service with lack of communication, slow service, reheated food (with what I assume is a microwave), food just not great but I guess can do when you need a fix. I wouldn't recommend it here. Till this day I'm on the search for the Ghana spot that gives me what I've been missing

Food was buzzing minus the unwelcoming service received. I ordered Waakye and boy, it was scrumptious. Will be returning to order more.

If you are a Ghanaian or an African and you want something “home” to eat, this is the place for you. I went there to eat fufu with friends on the day I was leaving Toronto. It was so ideal to have a taste far away from home
