I will be dreaming about the food. I ate for the next year. Absolutely homestyle cooking. So flavorful. Lovely people serving. I wish I lived closer and didn’t just happen upon this place. So good. Highly recommend.

Very nice lady, big portions. I had the jerk chicken with extra jerk sauce. It was just the right amount of spice!

I had the oxtail with rice and peas and it was very good. Portion was a bit small but it tasted good. My husband had the jerk chicken and it was also tasty. Staff was really nice, A true Jamaican owned place.

Watched the “lunch special” go from $7.50 to almost $10.. portion size still the same, the food is okay, nothing to rave about just close to work. Be careful when paying with debit, as on multiple occasions I was overcharged, they do not turn the POS machine to you so you can see the price, they just tell you to tap.

Spotlight Caribbean Kitchen @ 130 Queens Plate Drive is an absolute gem for authentic Jamaican food in Toronto! The restaurant is spotless, well-maintained, and offers comfortable dine-in options for families, friends, or solo visits. The friendly staff go above and beyond with excellent customer service, making every visit feel warm and welcoming.

Their menu is loaded with delicious Caribbean snacks and meals — from tender, flavorful oxtail and perfectly seasoned curry goat to hearty Manish Water (goat head soup), crispy fried plantains, and fresh, flaky Jamaican patties. Every bite is bursting with authentic island flavor.

There’s lots of parking available, and the place is child-friendly, making it perfect for a family outing. If you’re craving true Jamaican cuisine in a clean, inviting atmosphere, Spotlight Caribbean Kitchen is a must-visit spot!💯👌

Friendly family owned shop with huge servings, and tasty food with a lot of options. I tried their fried chicken dipped in sauce, came with complimentary rice coleslaw and gravy.

This was the absolute worst Jamaican restaurant I’ve ever been to. The stew chicken was light and had no flavour and the ox tail was disgusting aswell. I would definitely not go back or recommend again!
