Heading to Pearson Airport early in the morning to pick up my daughter, I needed a quick coffee fix, especially with her plane being delayed. I noticed there was a Starbucks just two kilometers away, located inside the DoubleTree Hotel. Despite the gated parking, Starbucks offers free 30-minute parking, which was super convenient. Not an ideal location. We had our parking validated and it did not work as we tried to leave. We had to call security to let us out. Also, there is a 30 minute parking limit which is absurd. I can appreciate wanting to limit the number of outside customers, but for those that do come, they should obviously have the option of staying longer than 30 minutes.
