Just moved in the area and I really wanted this place to be good as I eat subs all the time. Bread was not fresh and the owner who made it barely put any meat and veggies on the sub. I won’t be going back there unfortunately.

I fully paid for my meal, and the owner said I owed him an aditonal 50 cents due to some service fee. He wanted it in cash. The owner heckled me over the 50 cents. I did not have 50 cents cash, But I offered to use my debit card to pay. Even offered to pay a dollar, and he did not accept my debit card. So I walked out, never even taking a bite of the sandwich. Very dissatisfied that the owner couldn’t oversee the small service fee.

I finally gave Submaster a chance yesterday after seeing all the positive reviews here, and they completely lived up to it! It was one of the best subs I've ever had! Upon entering, even though he was busy with other customers, the owner greeted me kindly. I tried the Buffalo Chicken sub, and it was incredible. I had a chance to talk to him afterwards, and it became obvious *why* it tasted so good. He is very passionate about the food and ensures customers are honestly happy with their experience. The saying that 'the secret ingredient to good food is love' is very apparent here. All the bread is freshly made and baked in store and is so soft and lightly crispy, all the meat and veggies are very fresh and cut in store, and the sauces are so flavourful too. You can definitely taste the freshness in everything, and it's so much healthier than what the big chains give. He's very hard working, very friendly and kind to everyone, super easy to talk to, and you can tell he loves what he does with the love he puts into his art of food and service. The restaurant itself is very clean and classic old school vibes, which I love as it gives a homely feel. They also have a great selection of drinks and snacks, and even lottery tickets! I'll definitely be back soon and often. I HIGHLY recommend giving Submasters a try. ? We've been meaning to stop by here and glad we did. The service was fantastic. We were greeted by the friendliest server (owner?) behind the counter. You can tell he takes pride in what he does. The food was also very good and exactly what we were craving. Husband had the meatball sub and definitely recommends!

Made a quick little stop for a bite to eat & noticed this highly rated spot. I can truly say this sub did not disappoint. lol brushed the first half within minutes; Ingredients are fresh, the sub bun itself is soft and fresh. The owner himself has a great personality & truly knows about customer service.

First, the owner is so welcoming when you enter I’ve been made immediately happy. Then he proceeded to explain the options so well - I know exactly what I want. Then he gave the best sauce & topping recommendations, he made me so happy I was ready to leave a review before even getting the food. The music, seating & atmosphere was amazing. Next, the food. I’m a chef for starters; and this was still one of the best subs I’ve had in my LIFE. He makes the meatballs out of chicken & beef by hand. Nothing frozen or boxed. I let him do my sub exactly how he wanted to, toppings, sauce, cheese & bread. I left it to him, because I know he knows EXACTLY what he’s doing. Additionally, he added 6 entire meatballs onto my sub, 2 massive strips of cheese as long as the bread and heated it to absolute perfection. The drink & snack selection is amazing. The drinks especially brought me right back to my childhood, I’ve never seen SunnyD as an option at ANY sub store. On top of all of this, he made us laugh & smile as we ordered and got our food. And the food….again, amazing. The tomato sauce was so flavourful, meatballs were incredibly juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted with the sauce. And the onions were the most simple but perfect addition. That’s all it needed. He even helped take care of our trays and garbage as I tried to clean up a little. So kind & humble. 100/10, if I could leave a higher review I would. Absolute perfection of service & dish.
Vegetarian options: I personally got the meatball sub but my brother got a vegetable sub and left it to the owner to do what he needs to make it best, and it was the best vegetarian sub he’d ever had. His words. 10/10.

Came here after passing my g1 as a celebration with my brothers, (I’m veg for context) I saw they had a plant based meat balls and I was hyped and ordered it, but they didn’t have it. I was kinda sad but then the guy who I think is the owner assured me there are other options that r just as good. He gave me extra cheese and sauces and filling just to make up for not having the order I wanted. He gave me suggestions across the entire sub building process making sure I make my sub taste its peak. The guy was genuinely the sweetest and kindest person I’ve ever met and genuinely seemed like he has a passion for his work. I didn’t have the highest hopes but now I’m coming back just for the customer service, 10/10. I got a veggie sub which is just bread with veggies, cheese and sauce. But somehow this was one of the best subs I’ve had. He was so honest, I wanted a wrap but he said the bread for subs r fresh the wrap bases aren’t fresh so he suggested a sub which I happily complied to after hearing bout his Greek bread. The veg sub was packed with fresh veggies and the sauces were amazing. I told him to put whatever sauce he thinks is best and he put whatever would pair the best and also gave me an explanation as to why he chose that sauce. Overall 10/10 service and 9.5/10 food and 9/10 atmosphere. Overall 10/10 experience and I would 100% come back with the rest of my family. My brothers had a very similar experience. I am happy.
I would also like to highlight the absolute wide range of drinks, he has 3 friend full of different drinks and also snacks and chips on the counter. Great pick for sides and drinks. (I got a sunnyD, the red one)

Was delighted to find a “sub of the day” program still in existence at Sub Master. The customer service experience was excellent. My sandwich was awesome. One can even buy a lottery ticket here at the same time as picking up their food. 5 stars, keep up the great work!
