Best Japanese cuisine we ever had! The food is made on the spot and so fresh too. The chef is so accommodating to our needs. He even goes to the extent to let us know to call in and pick up later which is cheaper than ordering on-line. Trust is all he needs for us to pay only when picking up the orders.I will definitely recommend it to anyone who is game for Japanese cuisine anytime.
While the sushi might taste good, the owner is extremely rude and disrespectful. There were several times when I placed a pick up order in advance and at arrival had to wait for him to finish it, although there were no other customers at the restaurant.He also doesn't use any sanitary measures, like wearing gloves while touching the food. Just a second under the running water between handling cash or phone and going back to making sushi.Not coming ever back again even if it's going to be the only sushi shop in town.

My friends and I visited after seeing the Google rating. Gonna be honest, I was not very impressed with the aesthetics stepping into the store, but the food was very good!!I’ll be returning to try other items on the menu, and I feel pretty confident about ordering a platter here for special occasions too.Meanwhile I wish the TV volume was lower, and I hope the owner would consider tidying up the place. (Hence the disappointment walking in, but) 5 stars for food quality.

Placed order in person. Was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Another patron walked placing same order. They got served since they were dinning in. After 40 minutes I was still waiting to get my order. Also missing items from the order although charged. Degrading experience to be politically correct. Had been calling for several days with no answer. When eventually he picked up he replied : Too busy to talk right now and hung up.

I can’t believe I haven’t tried this place before. By far, it’s one of my favourite sushi restaurants in Etobicoke when it comes to portion, taste, and presentation. I had the assorted 10pc sushi and each piece of sashimi for sushi was big and thick which I liked about. The owner was really friendly and generous. My friend had a Roll combo 1- which surprised me by the size of roll and taste. I’ll be back to this place. ?

Wow, amazing sushi take out joint. They also have tables in the restaurant if you’d like to dine in. The service and food was incredibly fresh and full of flavours. We ordered a miso soup, tuna tataki, salmon sashimi, hamachi sashimi, scallop sashimi, spicy salmon roll and salmon green onion hand rolls. The owner then gave us an additional soup and deep fried roll on the house! All the fish was fresh, and the rolls were so delicious. Their hand rolls were massive, the owner also gave us Japanese mayo to try with the salmon and it was a game changer. 10/10 highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick sushi fix!!

I tried this place on a whim, and I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious! The person who made the food was very friendly and explained to me why they are not having patrons dining in at the moment. I'm definitely going back when I'm in the area.

Excellent quality and taste. Couldn't believe how much fish in each piece. It's a struggle to find consistent quality in sushi and I would highly recommend this place - prices are great too.Be sure to order well in advance as the owner notes how short staffed he is (as are so many small businesses, unfortunately). Support local!

Amazing sushi every time! The prices might seem a little high at first but you will understand once you get your food as the fish is great quality and the rolls are massive. Overall the sushi here is a lot better than many of the more expensive restaurants downtown and tastes very similar to the sushi you get in Vancouver where the fish is always fresher.

Have been a loyal customer since this place opened. Overlooked a few things without complaining, such as waiting for service while the owner was smoking, not washing the hands before preparing sushi. Today, was very disrespected by the owner. He was unnecessarily very rude, because he had a problem with the way I parked the car while waiting for sushi. Instead of just addressing the problem he humiliated me in front of other customers, threatening that next time he won't make the sushi. Gave him opportunity to correct his behavior, only to be disrespected further. Clearly, business is going too good, where customer respect and appreciation is no longer practiced nor needed. I've been to Sushi2go up the street and had a much better experience with customer service and cleanliness.
