This is one occasion where I would like to give 6 stars if I could! I’ve been to this Sunset Grill on a handful of occasions. Most recently for my birthday last Friday. George was extremely accommodating getting our larger group seated as they don’t take reservations in advance. He is a pleasure to deal with and runs a great restaurant.
The service is always exceptional and particularly on that day. I can’t remember our servers name but she was fantastic. Extremely friendly, got our orders right, refilled the drinks and cleared dishes, all with a smile. On another occasion we had the pleasure of being served by Alexis who is excellent as well.
As for the food, it is perhaps the best breakfast, and particularly French toast, I’ve ever had. They use thick sliced bread and cook it perfectly in a magnificent batter. And then I ask for cinnamon to top it off which is my fave. They have other topping options. I got the ‘French connection’ which comes with 2 French toast and includes eggs and home fries(I sub tomatoes) and all for less than $15! The portions are also extremely generous and the prices are really good compared to other breakfast locations.
Everyone loved their food. And it ranged from eggs and bacon to avocado toast, wraps and pancakes too. All my family was super impressed with the food and the amazing service we received.
Overall a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend this Sunset Grill if you ever in Etobicoke seeking a great breakfast or lunch spot. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Wow! If you ever order the Apple Cinnamon Pancakes at the early bird special plan on taking one home. First, they're delicious. Second, they're huge! Sitting here eating the one from yesterday. All for $9.99.
We visited for breakfast, found the place nice and service good. Somehow the taste did not appeal us, the turkey and becon were too dry for our liking and coffee also lacked the desired flavour.

Came for breakfast today, after ordering our food I spotted a brown cockroach the size of a quarter crawling on the chair next to my partner. The staff did not take this as a concern. They offered to change our table and told us this has been an ongoing problem for them due to the restaurants next door… no accountability and fully expected us to stay and accept this. The restaurant didn’t even apologize.
