Nice local place to go to for eats. Love the retractable roof in summer. Been here plenty but thought I'd check out the reviews since I'm a server and deal with reviews myself.
My biggest beef with google reviews is when people weaponize them for other reasons. It's ashame that disgruntled cyclists have obviously been bombarding this location with one stars, due to their looming loss of bike lanes, which have unfortunately made the street look cluttered and unsightly with all the reflective polls everywhere. It's on a subway line so I'm sure everyone can get to the place... even with a bike.
Review the restaurant... not the politics. People who work there have a right to support themselves financially, especially in this economic climate.
I'll definately will be back.
From the moment I walked into The Crooked Cue, I knew I was in for more than just a meal—it was an experience. The vibe is upscale yet relaxed, with a stylish ambiance that hits the sweet spot between classy and comfortable. Whether you’re there for date night, a catch-up with friends, or just treating yourself, this place delivers.
I ordered the steak dinner, and let me tell you—it was phenomenal. Perfectly grilled to my requested medium-rare, juicy and tender with just the right sear on the outside. Paired with the seasoned vegetables and garlic mashed potatoes, it was a plate that hit every note. Easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in the city.
What really made the night stand out, though, was the service. The staff were attentive without hovering, genuinely friendly, and clearly take pride in what they do. You can tell they care about your experience, and that kind of hospitality is rare.
The pool tables, the bar, the lighting, the playlist—it all blends into a space that feels thoughtfully curated. You don’t just go to The Crooked Cue to eat, you go to enjoy.
Already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend the steak dinner and a night soaking in the vibe.
I was there on Friday. My wife’s first time. Our server made sure we had an excellent first experience. 5 stars for Lianny. She’s awesome.
Great experience spending song time with a friend

It's a great place to enjoy a good game of Pool. The tables are smooth and well maintained. However, the cues were really crooked as the name goes. Overall, the place has a good vibe and you'll certainly enjoy playing pool here.

Rode my bike here, got kicked out for not driving a car! Can't believe what would have happened if I walked there!

I live in north Toronto and look forward each year to returning to The Crooked Cue to get together with friends at lunch time just before the Christmas holiday.
The food is excellent, and the service is efficient and very friendly.
Our group enjoys playing friendly games of pool, which is easy with a large number of tables to play on.
The venue is expansive and will accommodate both large and small groups.
While located on the second floor, the roof is retractable, for an alfresco dining experience, weather permitting.
This is an outstanding choice for both a large group of 50+, or an cosy table for two.

This place is a fantastic neighborhood spot. Been going for 20 years. Don’t believe the one star reviews from the psychotic bicycle group who are leaving one star reviews because bike lanes are coming out on Bloor St.

This place is good for pool only. Our experience in the dining hall was a disaster. Our server couldn’t care less about our orders. Two of the entrees took 30-45 minutes longer than the other two. We were offered 50% for the affected meals but it still did not feel worth it. Bland food, bad service. Don’t eat here.

A socially regressive restaurant, complaining about social services, complaining about public transport, while continuing to rake in $$. Owner is interested in a socially regressive agenda, with very little originality to offer the city of Toronto. Shameful.
