The braised short ribs were not great. I was very disappointed especially for the price. First of all they didn't look like the picture. Second they were over cooked, making them dry and tough. Because of that the Demi glaze they give you was not enough. And the mashed potatoes were disappointing as well, there is nothing special about them. They were thick, and not seasoned. You would think for a steak house their potatoes would be tastier. This was our Anniversary dinner...
I've been going to the Keg for more than 40 years (yes, from its roots in North Vancouver). It has always been a home for excellent service, good conversation and a fine meal. It never disappoints. During Covid, we took to having a takeout meal from the Keg - a shared 12oz peppercorn, double baked potato, side of veggies, a bottle of wine and when looking for desert, the Billy Miner. My favorite the keg location! Absolutely satisfied..at first they designed a table which was for 2 people but overcrowded around us...no privacy at all.. could hear others people's conversations which is not pleasant but did request the server for a private table and even offered to pay for it...He was very kind did ask his superiors for my request and very appreciated we got a new table and different area and was clear and private. Very satisfied with sherway gardens location.
