OK. It is a dive bar. It is old and the washrooms smell but there are so many great music events going on all the time and posh just doesn't suit a rock venue. The owner is great, the music is great and it does a lot to support local artists.
I have to give a shout out to the staff at the Rockpile for going out of their way for making Derek and I feel very welcomed at their club as out of towners. Great seats, great service and the bands “My favourite Headache and Grooveyard” both put out fantastic sets. Definitely looking forward to visiting again. Rock on!

I'd recommend earplugs; it's the loudest venue I've been at.
The only thing on tap is Molson Canadian, the beers are stadium price and the food is lacking, so come prepared for that.
The crowd was fine and the place was decently clean, even though it could use a refurb.
