Local legend. 5 star bread, deli, groceries, and bakery. Hot table is good. Especially quantity wise.

I ordered a cake from them 1st of all it wasn’t the exact color which I ordered and also, cake was leaving color stain on hands, mouth, lips, teeth.. which was infact very hard to remove after. They might have put a lot of food color and they didn’t even told us that it’s gonna stain. When I called them, the person from cake department (may be the baker) was really rude. Instead or listening he was arguing.
Never going back there and also not going to suggest anyone about them!

I've been going here since I was a baby! (Almost 30 years!)
Same quality, obviously prices have soared. I wish the staff was a little nicer, but the food makes up for all of it. I live downtown now, but will still make trips to this bakery specifically!

The food and bakery here is great, however, the Spanish speaking lady in the hot foods is so rude. There’s been multiple times where she gives me the wrong food and I don’t say anything because who knows what she’ll say back with the attitude she has. I’m not one to write reviews but after multiple occurrences I think it’s just to do one.

Simply great!!! Very cozy and welcoming atmosphere... You see people from all different backgrounds coming for this Italian bakery. Would only suggest to have cheese melt sandwiches, or a vegetarian option.

In the picture: Chicken sandwich with tomato sauce and cheese
Bread was fresh, fried chicken was cripsy, but overall the sandwich was dry due to limitation of sauce and veggies

I was introduced to this bakery by a local. It was a pleasure to meet the owner, a mature and cultured Cosimo (I think his surname is Mollica). In the Italian tradition, he was fashionably dressed with impressively hip eye-glasses.

This bakery-restaurant has a great selection of deli and prepared foods that include a wide selection of coffee, cheese, cold cuts, pizza, desserts, and a hot table.

The Tiramisu was the best in-store I've tried in Toronto, melting in my mouth and spreading the rich flavour of cheese, coffee, and cacao across my tongue. The Cappucino was aromatic and distinct, enhancing what can be described as a creamy explosion of ecstasy.

A second visit by Cosimo came with a complimentary treat of freshly cooked zucchini zeppole. At first bite, I was tossed into memories of Mama's kitchen. Such savory, yet creamy, doughy extravaganza was deeeeeelicious.

If that wasn't enough, Cosimo came back with a complimentary generous size anchovy zeppole. This was even tastier than the zucchini zeppole. It was more savory and chewy with a clean yet not overwhelming fish taste. Cosimo does it right! Let me warn you, these zeppole are not for someone trying to lose wait, and you'll want to order more.

I left The Rose Bakery at closing time, realizing that Cosimo is more interested in taking care of customers than in chasing profit. Prices were very reasonable and a bargain considering the portion sizes and quality of the food.

I'm looking forward to going back. It's a great place to go with a group of friends and experience Italian style hospitality and atmosphere.

This place has horrible customer service. the women with the glasses with brown hair and pregnant at the front is so rude and racist. multiple people have said the same thing. also she was seen not doing her job and talking with the manager in an innapropriate manner and even he seemed grossed out. my child was with me and i’m very disgusted at the words that were said. overall would not recommend. horrible customer service.
