Very disappointed with the food — it used to be much better. The food we received were different from what was shown on the online menu, which is misleading. They should update their menu to reflect what they actually serve. Unfortunately, after the meal, all of us experienced stomach pain and discomfort.

Do you even check the salt level of what you serve? I got the Napoletana, and it was pure salt. Unacceptable.

I was really looking forward to trying this pizza, but unfortunately it was way too salty. The crust was nice and had a good texture, and the toppings looked fresh, but the overwhelming saltiness made it hard to enjoy. After just a couple of bites, I found myself needing a lot of water, and the flavor of the other ingredients was completely lost. A little less salt would have made a huge difference. Hopefully this can be improved, because the base of the pizza itself had potential.

Came with my husband for a quick dinner. We had beer, the raddicchio salad and a pizza. Phenomenal. We will be back! So delicious, nice atmosphere, great service.

I used to live in the neighbourhood and Via Napoli was one of my favourite restaurants. I brought my step-dad there a couple of months ago for his birthday. I was coming in from out of town.

The restaurant was extremely warm and almost intolerable. I remember there was the same issue two summers ago when I last visted, but I would have thought they would have updated their AC by now, and it wasn't that warm outside. Also, the whole Secondi section of the menu was missing, as were quite a few other things listed on their website. The server was very apologetic and said they had cut quite a few items and had not updated the menu on the website. Yet, I still see the exact same menu on the website? I was very disappointed as I had been really looking forward to my meal and had to switch to something else.

The bathroom was pretty dirty and stunk, which really ruined the whole vibe. I'm just glad I didn't use it until after I ate.

All in all, the servers were excellent and nice. However, the restaurant has become a shell of what it once was. I hope management puts some money into it as right now it is being run into the ground. I very much doubt I'll be eating there again. Very disappointing.

I was really excited to try this spot as I'd come across it a few times driving past...PLEASE READ!! .. we were trying to have a cute date night, we went in and were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out, we went out side thinking it would be nice , NOT ONE table was clean and a staff member was sat smoking! So we head back inside. We ordered and she forgot one drink in a party of 2...claiming shes didnt hear us? Seriously? When the food came it was poorly cooked the pizza was soupy in the middle and the peperoni and meat wasnt crispy! The pasta wasn't properly cooked either! The kicker was when we got the bill, our bill came to 77.97 after being charged premium for a basic pasta! and when she passed the machine it said $ 92! Absolutley disgusting! Should not result to stealing from customers to pay your wages! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR GOOD FOOD, SERVICE AND OR TO NOT GET RIPPED OFF!!!

Just came back from a fabulous dinner at Pizzeria Via Napoli. Having lived in Italy for the past 18 years we know pizza! This pizza was pretty close to Neapolitan pizza that we used to enjoy in Italy. The toppings were generous and creative (Miele and Mele) My husband had the Pizza D'oro with nduja and sausauge and even the Margherita was really great, with quality sauce and generous mozzarella. Perfect service. This wasn't our first time there, nor will it be our last! To many more pizzas together! Thanks to

Visited for a late lunch around 4 pm. Requested to sit at the window and was told that the table is reserved. We were invited to sit at any other open table, and chose one closer to the front as it was pretty dark inside the restaurant.

Shortly after an elderly couple walked in (saying they are regulars)and asked to be seated at the window and were seated there even though they said they didn’t have a reservation!!! We also noted that the server advised some other guests to avoid sitting near the oven as it gets pretty warm, but we were never offered similar advice.

As for the two pizzas we ordered.. the dough and wood fired cooking is amazing. The toppings were a little underwhelming. Mushrooms were thick and chewy, underdone. We were served warm water on a hot summers day, that too in a dark restaurant with poor cooling/circulation. It’s a shame that the service was terrible for a restaurant that was not busy at all.

We also noticed that the website menu is not the same as what is in print at the restaurant.

My advice would be to not have high expectations when you visit this restaurant.

We were there for dinner last night and what an awful experience. I knew things would be bad when we sat down at the table and my glass was dirty. On top of that, the server asked us if we wanted complimentary tap water. Why would anyone in their right mind want to drink dirty Toronto tap water?!
We ordered fried calamari to start and it was very clear that they were fried in old oil because they were pretty dark in colour (instead of a golden yellow they were a light brown) and we all got an upset stomach afterwards.
The pizza was beyond awful. The sauce was half raw and so was the middle of the dough. We had to send one of our pizzas back and asked them to put less sauce and make the pizza well done. The pizza came back and was even more raw than the first time. The pasta was decent, but nothing to rant about.
The service was almost non existent and the ambience was just okay. Very dated restaurant with a slightly awkward feel to it.
Living in Toronto, you expect to see multiculturalism, but when dining in an Italian restaurant it would be nice to see at least one Italian chef. The chefs were young kids of different ethnicities who clearly didn't care about making great food or understanding the art of Italian cuisine.
This is one of the worst restaurants I've been to. Just avoid this place at all costs. It's not worth wasting your time or money. There are many other better restaurants in Toronto!
