So one afternoon I had decided that I wanted some Jamaican takeout and since this place was near me, I thought I’d give it a go. I had ordered rice and peas with oxtail and fried chicken. And she was moving so suspicious like she knew something was wrong. I was the only customer and at first she was going to give me one piece of oxtail, and then I had mentioned it to her, and then she went to the back to get more oxtail, claiming that the one that was in front of her was done. Altogether Just took her maybe 15 minutes to serve As the food was literally already cooked. But the worst thing was when I went home to eat it. The rice and peas tasted Spoiled and was gonna make me vomit if I kept on eating it. The ox still had a little to no flavour and just tasted like she had just boiled it and added it in browning and called it a day. And fried chicken was flavorful, but it had tasted like it had been out for a day and not freshly made. I don’t usually make complaints, but this one is different because she was moving so suspicious like she knew something was wrong and yet she still serve me spoiled food so I had to take out the fried chicken out of the plate and throw away all the rice and oxtail gravy I’m afraid to even come back here in order because I am feeling like shit. I’m gonna be served spoiled food again. And mind you this was Saturday afternoon an hour of the day where one would have freshly Cooked food as it will be one of the more busier days. I ordered it large so now $22.36 Is gone straight into the garbage. I would be careful of this place because it is not how it was before. And if you order from there, I would say to go for white rice because their rice and Peas will either taste spoiled or is spoiled. It’s a shame I had to write such a long Review, but you’d rather order from Uber eats from a different Jamaican cuisine rather than take your chance chances with this one

Extremely poor customer service, lots of bad attitude toward customers. Forget about the food it’s almost inedible. Dumplings still tastes doughy, both fry and boiled. Ackee and saltfish is fresh and Ackee still has a raw taste. I bet they don’t eat their own food, it’s disgusting. Should change management AGAIN! Seriously stop selling crap to the public.

Wineta's stew chicken and oxtail was so rich and saucy, this is some authentic Jamaican soul food right here. And service was warm and friendly, when I got home to eat I really felt like I was eating home cooking. If you're close to the Kipling and Steeles area you got to try Wineta's!

I ordered the jerk chicken a few days ago, the service was great, but the jerk chicken smelled spoiled and had little to no flavour at all. The rice and peas also had no flavour at all and smelled off. The service was excellent but the food was terrible.

I placed a catering order for fried, BBQ and jerk chicken with rice and peas. The service was impeccable, they packaged and handled the food with care. My family was very impressed with the variety of flavors, additional gravy and side salads. Thank you so much, we will definitely use this service again.

Wineta’s service and food were absolutely amazing. I ordered trays of jerk chicken and rice and peas for a church event and everybody loved it. Definitely go to Wineta’s!

I gave 4 stars because I have only been here twice. Experience was pleasant. The jerk chicken was on point. The fried chicken was good as well. Everything flavourful and price was good. Will return in future to see if they are consistent for the 5 stars.
Parking: Parking just in front of plaza. Lots of parking.

The fried dumpling was crispy but fluffy. The plantain were ok. They needed to be a bit riper. The ackee was good. I got it with some boiled dumpling and banana, which I wasn't expecting. The peas soup came in a bigger size than I expected. I was hoping for the typical peas soup made with coconut milk, but it remined me more of a chicken and peas soup mix that most Jamaicans would not. It was decent but not what I was expecting.

Such a hidden gem! First time had Caribbean food and it totally blew my mind of how good it was. The service is excellent. Wineta herself is very nice. Definitely the bbq chicken is my all time favorite :) the portion is big compared to the price, so both affordable and good quality

This place gets my approval. Food is fresh the spice on the jerk chicken is just right. The oxtail was nice and soft I don't like my oxtail sweet and this wasn't on the sweet side like most places. Definitely come back here again and try the snapper and everything else
