Tucked away on Queen's Plate, Etobicoke, this place is a must for those hungering for Somali food. We came here on Family Day and were not disappointed. The food was yumm, the service warm and friendly. I've taken away one star for ambience - they could do more to make it feel more authentic.

We ordered the chicken suqaar and mandi chicken. I was surprised to find that rice and salads were extra $3 separately but we got an extra salad for free. But regardless food was excellent. The mandi chicken was grilled perfectly along with the spices. The suqaar chicken was pretty good too. The atmosphere and vibe were great. Excellent place for family and friends gathering. Would highly recommend

The chicken was cooked perfectly. Excellent char on outside and juicy on the inside. The beef was ok, and the rice was soft and fluffy. Their hot sauce is great too. Price to portion is on point. Beautiful decor and really clean restaurant.

I was very hungry when I arrived, and a Somali girl with light-colored who usually works at the reception assisted me. I ordered salmon fish and Alfredo pasta. When I came in, she told me she thought the order was not confirmed and said I had not placed any order, even though I had ordered about 10 minutes earlier. I sat down feeling confused and disappointed. Later, she changed my order to take-away even though I had clearly said dining in, and she was laughing and joking with me in an unprofessional way. After that, she brought me pasta and salmon that were cold and not fresh. At first, I thought it was just a misunderstanding, so I did not complain. However, later I clearly realized it was intentional behavior and very poor customer service, deliberately disrespecting a customer. Unexpectedly, I decided to order a mango drink. I stood there waiting while she was facing away from me, talking and gossiping about me to some shaved-head guys and saying false things about me. I stood there for a while and no one noticed me until one of the guys pointed out and said, “Your brother is standing behind you.” It was the most embarrassing and disrespectful experience I have ever had. , I was really starving and i spend 28+3 extra mongo drink and i walk away because i can't eat cold food which is not fresh. Please if you don't want the job, this is someone else’s business—do not damage its reputation and do not play with customers’ dignity. If you cannot do this job with respect, simply say thank you and leave.
