The food at this restaurant has been great and I have been introducing it to friends in the area because I believe in supporting family run businesses. I was very embarrassed in front of my guests however when I ordered chicken mandi as take out for a birthday party to find that meat from the legs and breast were partly removed. This has never happened before. So open up your takeout containers and check them before you leave the restaurant!
Went out to get some Somali food and the restaurant we initially decided didn’t have the item we actually went for. So we decided to give this place a try. Interior is amazing, and the place was getting full pretty quick but we found our table pretty quick. Order needs to be placed at the counter, so we took our time to decide, and got ourselves Lamb Mandi, kebab skewers, falafel, hummus, chicken suqaar and salad. Honestly my favorite was the hot bread which we ordered on the side. Hummus was delicious and creamy. Falafel was great. The kebabs was okayish, felt they were a little expensive for the quantity and taste. The rice in Mandi was delicious and the lamb was good, had some amazing flavors to it. I would skip the suqaar, nothing wrong, just didn’t fit my taste.
All in all, good place. The service could be a little fast but never mind.
