Decent food, poor value. They’ve become overpriced. Better choices nearby.

Food was okay. Nice outdoor seating. Can get a little busy though and very cramped on the insider

I never write reviews. But I couldn’t stop myself this time.
We’ve been going to the Yellow Cup Cafe for the past 10 years as a family.
Whether it’s a birth, a death, a promotion, a family reunion, or just a hard emotional week - Yellow Cup Cafe has always been the place for us. It felt like home away from home.
However, over the past several months, the quality of the food has declined, and the service has also deteriorated.
This past weekend, we visited again — it was a meaningful day for us, as our son was heading off to university.
We ordered the breakfast special - the eggs were watery, the bread was cold and not properly toasted, the bacon was burnt, and the cappuccino was cold.
My husband ordered his usual Eggs Benedict - the eggs were rubbery, the bread wasn’t toasted, and the potatoes were cold.
As we took our first bites, our eyes met - but none of us said anything. We didn’t want to ruin the special occasion, so we just ate. But I knew in that moment that what I was eating wasn’t right - it tasted raw and terrible.
After coming home, I got really sick. I was throwing up and had bad diarrhea. It was the food.
Yellow Cup Cafe has always been an emotion for us. A place tied to our memories. But now, it feels like a nightmare. I never thought I’d say this, but we may not be going back.

Today, I went and got an apple walnut crepe, reuban sandwich, and a bagel with cream cheese and bacon. For whatever reason, the apples were not peeled so when you ate the apple pieces, you're left with a peel in your mouth while the rest of the apple melts away. It's so off putting, I don't know why they don't peel the apples. Then we switch to the reuban sandwich, which is suppose to have thousand Island dressing or Russian dressing, but weirdly, there was a ton of yellow mustard in the sandwich which completely overpowered everything else. I don't really get these choices, but the staff were nice. The place is definitely crowded on the weekends but there were still tables available when we went. I probably wouldn't go back but as I was leaving, I saw some nice desserts on display that looked really good.

I visited the Yellow cup. And I was not satisfied. The atmosphere is quite normal, but the food, unfortunately, is not fresh.

Best place
I love this place! It is bright, warm & inviting with fun music always playing - it makes me nostalgic for a time before everything was sleek, minimalistic and gray. It can get pretty crowded here, but its popularity is a testament to just how great it is! My go-to order is a peach Italian soda and a Mediterranean crepe.

We came for lunch, had sandwich, Italian crape, latte and coffee, the bill was 36$. The grape is had was so huge that I couldn't finish it. Food was good, the atmosphere was nice. Its definitely better than Starbucks. The only comment- stuff could smile a bit more!

Food was delicious. But the staff - felt like none of them were in the mood to talk or serve. Strange experience. Not sure if I’ll be going there again. They seem to have treated everyone else better by the way they talked and interacted, but to us, nope.

We came from Waterloo to try this place, and we were excited to have our brunch as the reviews are good. However, we were so annoyed of finding the table. Actually, we were shocked that they don't have any reservation policy what most of the restaurants have. As we couldn't find any table, we asked the staff to cancel the order, but it was not possible. At least the staff helped us to get the small tables at the corner. Fortunately, after we got our orders we were feeling better cause the food were delicious. Overall, the interior and the food are satisfying except finding the tables.

A quaint and delightful cafe serving coffee, crepes, sandwiches, wraps and sweets. The food is fresh and well-made. Inside, it's a small, tight environment, so be prepared to forgo personal space should you choose to eat in.
