I have no pictures to post, because I don’t believe in that kind of thing. The atmosphere is eclectic and warm, like a best friend’s living room. The menu options, creative and thought provoking. I got the special which was venison loins served over parsnip mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and roasted vegetables. It was to die for. Not very often are we this blown away by everything that a place has to offer. From the professional but warming service, to the unique experience to the magical flavours that the food offers. Passion is one word to describe this restaurant. You can tell that they pour their whole heart into it and the chef ; Shawn is remarkably talented. We ordered the dessert ; a Nutella pumpkin crepe? Our visit to the Flying Chestnut was incredible. The building itself is full of character and charm and the decor in the dining room gives such a funky, warm, home-like feel! The food was hearty and filling and delicious. If you are lucky enough to snag a reservation here and taste Chef Shawn’s creations, you won’t regret it! We hope to be back soon!!
